To Kings: Rondo
To Celtics: Mclemore, Gray, Fredette

The Kings imo will push very hard to get one or two more pieces, so that they can try to make a playoff run and not waste obtaining players like Williams and Gay. The new owners i read are similar to the nets owner and want to win asap

Thomas is not the right pg for the team. They need a guy who can pass 10 plus assist on a daily basis and not a score 1st pg. Thomas though can still help the team coming off the bench increasing the teams firepower

I think Danny Ainge will listen if the Kings gm made this offer. Danny won't initiate the idea though.

Nooooooooooo thank you on Jimmer or Aaron Grey.

Rondo for McLemore would be rightly ridiculed, I think.

And I like McLemore.

what else do you want, cousins and a 1st?

Rondo's value will keep dropping as the Celts keep losing and his assist totals decrease.

And it might not increase until a few years down the line, when we have decent mature talent around him. It's risky to try to rebuild around a guy who needs talent to maximize his skills

My first thought, glancing at the trade machine with the idea that I must trade Rondo to the Kings... I'd send Rondo and Wallace for Thomas, Thornton, Landry, and Outlaw and some kind of draft pick compensation?

Or, cutting Wallace from the deal, Rondo for Thomas, Outlaw, Thornton and a very attractive couple of draft picks.

Not a bad idea. But ur taking a risk the picks will be worth little once rondo is on the team.

We would first need more proof that McLemore won't suck.  He hasn't given any proof yet, and you can't trade Rondo for someone who can't play.

Right, like I said, that was just going into the trade machine with a goal to get Rondo on the Kings in a two person trade... in a way that helps the Celtics bottom out and stay financially flexible (which is the only goal I can think of if we're sending him to SacTown).

Plus I'm becoming a big IT fan the more Kings games I catch. He's a fun guy to root for.

for Rondo, yes.
Jimmer and Gray are non-factors lucky to be collecting paychecks.  Mclemore hasn't shown anything yet.  pure speculation this kid becomes a starting SG, nevermind an all-star level player.

horrible deal.  this would make us utterly horrid for years.  no top level talent on the team except if they get lucky in the draft and without any top talent already on the team, there's no reasonable hope of attracting any FA talent that would make us contenders.

Rondo's value isn't dropping based on his play in the first couple of weeks returning from a major injury. While I haven't seen much of McLemore he's a shooting guard averaging 8 ppg with a TS% that's under 50% and steadily dropping as the season progressed. Anyone who traded a 4 time all-star in his 20s for that should be fired on the spot.

I don't think there's a Kings deal that makes much sense for Rondo -- period -- but I'm certain their isn't one that doesn't involve Gerald Wallace going there too.

For Rondo, you need to get major cap relief, plus young studs and/or #1 draft picks.

This deal gets us none of that.

If kings include the 2014 1st or right to swap the our 2nd 1st pick with theirs, would that be better?

Check out mclemore stats the past 3 games. He is playong well. The kid has potential and still really young

Sacramento's 2014 pick is owed to Chicago, with top-10 protection.  We could trade for a right to swap if it falls 11th or higher, or could do a deal on draft night where Sacramento picks or us, but we can't get their pick straight up.

Sorry so your stating bulls have the pick if its past 10th.

Trading rondo then wont net us the 2014 pick as sac will likely do better than the 10th pick

Yes, Bulls get the pick if its 11th through 30th.

If its 1st through 10th, the Kings still can't trade it ahead of time, because their 2015 pick would then be owed to the Bulls (again, with top-10 protection, I believe).
