Sully needs 30+ minutes every game

We suck right now. Nobody's denying that, not even Stevens. A young guy in Sully, who I believe is a building block on a championship team, routinely sees anywhere between 18-28 mites a night.

Stevens gave him a full 35 minutes tonight and he played unselfish, team offense while posting a monster stat line of 24 points, 17 rebounds and 2 assists. And he doesn't even get plays drawn up on him or fed in the post a bunch.

He needs more consistency. Am I missing something or is Stevens just obligated to play other bigs over Sullinger?

It's past time for both Sully and KO to be getting 30mins a night, it's not like we are winning with the other guys playing. I'm tired of Bass getting mins no matter what! Vitor needs a good look too.

He needs to heal that finger up, then they can play him big minutes.

I probably would have left out the 2 assists part when posting his stats line, but I definitely agree. I think once the trade deadline passes we are going to be seeing a lot more of Olynger. Sully is definitely the more solid prospect, but Oly needs to get more minutes so we can really see what we have in him. His per 36 numbers are actually pretty decent...which is why he made the rookie all-star squad.

I would love to see Sullinger put up a few monster lines like this in a row. It would really show that he can do this consistently.

It might be slowing his development to play center to help the team win short term when we can't even win.

I agree 100%.  We have done our showcasing of Bass and Hump. Lets get on with developing our young players.  Other teams have seen all they need to see of our decent trade bait players.  Lets build for the future at this point...

  Sometimes I wonder whether his spotty play is all due to injury or (since he only played half a season last year) he's hitting the "rookie wall". But I'm a little less concerned about the minutes than "he doesn't even get plays drawn up on him or fed in the post a bunch". I'd like to see them feed him the ball more often.

Yah right, he was covered by Hawes? We're you watching the same game? It seemed like he took every rebound, and scored 24 points on a guy maybe 5 inches taller than him.
That hook shot he had in the middle of the paint got Hawes shook.
