Barg's deal is slightly better than Wallace's but NY could look to deal him now that he's out. They're paper thin at SF now that Melo is back at PF. If someone is dumb enough to take Wallace, its Dolan

as much as I think NY would laugh at that deal, I can only hope this never happened.  Bargs, while he could play some center for us, is the antithesis of Wallace who plays with effort every time he's on the court.

You may laugh at Bargnani, but he's going to be exponentially better than Wallace over the remainder of their contracts.

I proposed this in another thread, but something like:

Wallace/Bass/Faverani

for

Bargnani/either Shumpert or Hardaway/MWP

seems like a good fit for both teams.  NY gets a much needed boost in frontcourt depth and we get some salary relief and a decent SG prospect.  Could maybe buy out MWP if he agrees to forgo his player option for next year.

But there's no way NY gives up Bargnani for a worse contract on a worse player.  Even Dolan's not that dumb.
