  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
An amazing effort by a Celtics fan on Youtube who appears to be from China and 'bleeds Green'. Nice.
Pretty sure it's every basket he made in the 2008 playoffs. Just imagine if we had him in 2009 vs the Magic and Lakers, and the ill effects that same injury had on the 2010 finals. Ugghhh
Enjoy anyway.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Great video.

Just recently was going back and watching old footage a lot... man, pre and post injury you can notice it so much.  But the thing is he was still effective.  Just shows you so much about KG.

If you let me choose any player to start a franchise with in NBA history, I'd definitely take a hard look at KG.  He plays basketball how it should be played.  And just so complete.  He could fit in any style and absolutely anchor a defense.

My favorite player I have been able to watch play.  I'm younger so didn't get to watch all the hall of famers, I have reverence for them big time but still would look at KG.

I totally agree. I mean he's just such a nightmare for opposing defenses with his length and that jumpshot. Just his offensive game and the degree of difficulty in his shots are insane. There's a level of focus there that's unparalleled and that's before we talk about his defense.

I'd just love to have him on the bench with pierce for 2 or 3 years. Just give them a big salary to coach our draft picks if we blow it up. Make them the player development managers for $5 million a piece.
KG's influence would just be priceless on Wiggins or Parker...imagine what he'd do with Embiid...

I'm very hopeful that he joins the organization in some role.  In coaching or the office.   Same with Pierce.  That would be really special.

With KG I feel like he just brings a certain expectation of what your franchise is going to be like, like I said before.  He would be great to have around, with the bigs yes but just the whole atmosphere of the Celtics.

its a shame he was injured in 2009. I think we could've gone to back-to-back finals appearances.

Really good video. Is there any place to catch all those old playoff games in their entirely on the web?

If we had a healthy KG and Leon Powe in 2009...I can assure you, Dwight Howard would not have been much of an issue (because Perkins can keep him companied and KG would eat him alive). Then moving on to beat the Bynum-less Lakers. That would be #18 there.

And then #19 in 2010...KG remaining healthy, Perkins never going down, refs didn't screw us over.

#20 in 2011 with Shaq...and #21 had we won Game 6 at the Garden in 2012.

5-peat...man. Of course, wishful thinking.
