6 of our next 7 games include:

Knicks
Sixers twice
Kings
Magic
Bucks

If we go on a winning streak, which appears possible, we could blow our draft position out of the water, and maybe even start being discussed in terms of a potential playoff team.  Please, please, someone convince me this will not happen.

Play Rondo more and sit Sullinger and everything will be fine

I'm sorry for the concern here, but I get the feeling that everything rides on the next two weeks.  Will we draft 1-5 or 7-12?  Potentially makes all the difference in the future of the franchise.

To those who hate me for cheering for losses....

I promise, after this year, I'll never do it again.  After this year, we can outsource losing to the Nets.

Rondo is at like 30% right now, Bradley and Bayless are still out, Sullinger is dealing with hand injuries, and the team is relying mostly on Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, and a couple of D-Leaguers to win games.

I'm not worried.

I agree.

The sooner Bass and Humphries get traded, the better--although Danny's got to wait for good deals, which may only come closer to the trade deadline.

I would go a step further.  If trading Bass and/or Humphries sooner rather than later would make the difference in Parker/Embiid/Wiggins/Exum/Randle or not, than I am willing to accept a deal(s) that is less than perfect NOW.

When it comes to Bass and Hump, I think that if there were a deal available for any sort of future value without any future salary commitment, Danny would have already made it.

More likely than not, the challenge with those guys is going to be finding trade partners who are interested in those players and are willing to take them on without sending negative value back this way.

I'm eager to get rid of Bass and Humphries too, for various reasons, but not if it means taking on more future salary or giving up a pick, which is what it might cost unless there's a playoff team desperate for bench help.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I wouldn't worry about it. We've won 3 of the last 20 games.
Danny has it under control.

I said we might win 1 of the next 5 after the OKC game if Bradley is back in action (and he shoots over 50%) defending against one of the Philly games.
-But Sully's hurt.
-Jeff Green's reading about himself with Woj suggesting he's gone so who knows what that's doing to him.
-Rondo's not even 60% of himself.
-Wallace is just happy to be out there wasting usage and possessions. (so am I as a matter of fact)
-Even poor Bass has been relegated to the bench to showcase Humphries so Humphries shoots those terrible 15 foot jumpshots from the corner instead of Bass's swishing every 2nd one.
-Vucevic will be back for Orlando, and without Bradley, Oladipo should kill us- not to mention Jameer Nelson.
-Carmelo is on fire and he'll be going at Green and Wallace, whilst Rondo will have trouble staying in front of Felton- Meanwhile Wallace will be guarding Shumpert and trying to stay in front.

Remember we've lost 17 of the last 20 games. Although most CBer's scorned and mocked me, I've been saying it since the day KG + Pierce were traded. This is planned..part of a bigger picture.
When in doubt, just remember.
Danny has it under control.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Patience, Grasshopper patience.

I think the good deals will be at the deadline too.   Good news is that we are drawing closer each day to it.

Any team that can score is going to have a great chance of beating this Celtic squad. All of the teams there are better on the offensive end than the Cs with the exception of Milwaukee. But seeing as though i believe two of Milwaukee's wins have come against the C's that game is not a gimme either.

Danny Ainge has made great trades for the tank. Courtney Lee can put the ball in the hole and so can Crawford. Without those two guys, the C's have to rely on Jeff Green, Avery Bradley or Jerryd Bayless getting hot. Green takes whole weeks off, Bradley is injured, and Bayless plays behind Rondo.

The C's are currently averaging 94 points per game, but i wouldn't be surprised if they had trouble cracking 85 from here on out. Kudos to Danny Ainge for putting the team in such a great position for the tank.

Humphries earned his minutes.

If tonight is any indication of our level of play I see us winning maybe one of those six.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

The key will be the four remaining Philly games, two of which are coming up this week. The Celtics will not be able to catch up with Orlando or Milwaukee in the East and have limited ability to affect Western tankers like the Lakers, Kings, and Jazz. They need to at least split those Philly games to stay in the hunt for that third spot. Losing 3 of 4 would probably be best.

It'll come down to those Philly games and how much the Celtics will be able to tank the last month when all their games are against horrible Eastern conference teams.

I don't think we're going to have to worry about a win streak anytime soon.

Though I'll argue if we lose the majority of these games we've pretty much set our position. Good thing both the offense and defense has shown no sign of decency going into these games
