I think YES! Kid is a little raw but he hustles plays hard and can shoot!

Plus I'm pretty sure they just recycled JJJ's old jerseys  ;D

I think he has earned a 2nd 10 day contract at this point.

kid will probably be signed for the rest of the season after his second 10-day contract.  not missing AB one bit with this kid's hustle, shooting and BBIQ

Nice point about his basketball IQ.

Was on the Celtics.com chat and Marc D'Amico pointed out that every move he makes has a purpose. Like Rondo.

I love AB. Loved his defense from the very start even when he was stinking it up in his rookie year. But on offense he has very little awareness, often (imo) missing the timing. And timing is crucial in many plays.

And even though AB's defense is truly transcendental, Johnson looks like a he can be lockdown defender.

Riddled by foul trouble, Johnson still got 27 minutes. Nice to see Brad Stevens is not afraid to play him over Gerald Wallace. I'd like to see extended minutes from him.

Smart basketball is always fun to watch.

Edit:

While I'm at it, I might as well harp on Green.

Johnson is a guard who only has a left hand. Like Green who only has his right hand.

So Johnson can't go anywhere he wants. Much like Green.

They're actually quite similar talent wise. Both spot up shooters. Both athletic and fast for their position. Both have pretty good size. Of course, guards being more abundant and size being so important, Johnson is "worth less".

Yet Johnson penetrates and dishes. He grabs offensive rebounds. He creates possessions. Jeff does none of that.

Of course, to be fair, Green being bigger, passing out of penetration is probably not as easy for him (as bigger guys tend to have less mobility). But hustling for boards? Being an impact defender instead of simply a solid defender?

Word is they told him they want him back and he's expected to sign for his second 10-day on Tuesday.

I'm loving watching Chris Johnson play.  If nothing else, the way he runs the floor hard on every play is refreshing.  I'm definitely rooting for this kid.

Never mind a second ten day contract, I'd love to see him signed for at least the rest of the season.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

He plays nearly as good as AB.  ...he hustles

I'm beginning to think I can live without Avery on the team.........no huge contract...just fair

Are we really going there? So now 10-day contract Johnson is Green with better hustle, rebounding, and passing? Green had a bad game, I get it, but call me the next time Johnson puts up 39 points or leads his team in scoring over the course of a season. I understand that Green isn't perfect, but I think we should let Johnson play a full season before we declare him a better version than Green...or AB, for that matter.

Good luck with this one.  Been ignoring most of the Green posts, I guess people haven't been watching games.  39 points just the other day and "he's been lost of games and games now"  ::)

The box score says Wallace played 40 minutes.

Ah. That's true.

JG sucked today. I guess props for going with Johnson, who is playing better, rather than keep riding JG.

27+27+40 is about 96. No SGs I guess.

About every nine of ten games he has a good to great game. Awesome. Let's extend his contract. Hopefully he is gone before the trade deadline.

I like his hustle, doesn't always work out but he plays hard. He reminds me of a young Avery Bradley.
