Never could understand how Courtney Lee got into Doc's dog house (he made a couple bonehead plays under pressure but still). Was very impressed how he kept his head up and worked hard to earn his place with the new Celtics. He was playing the best basketball of his career and now he is gone and for what. Same with Crawford. Now Lee is leading a key run by the Grizzles and is one of their core players.

We seem to be building around Bradley and while I agree with building around Rondo, I don't see Bradley as a pivotal part of our future. Obviously Danny does. What am I missing?

Frankly, Lee was not very good for much of last year as I recall.  That is what got him in the doghouse more than anything else.  And while he may be good for a good team, on a bad one he is no difference maker.

As for Avery, we'll see whether he is part of the future or not.  He has one elite skill and has a little room to grow.  He also plays well with rondos.

But I guess we'll see.

I always liked Lee much more than Bradley and thought he was a better all around player. Bradley was better on defense than Lee yet Lee could almost keep up with what Bradley gave us. On Offense, Lee is miles better than Bradley.

Said it before, but I'm very over AB. Hate his game right now, hate his ineptitude finishing at the rim and don't particularity feel his defense truly warrants the praise it gets so often.

Bradley is also just 23 years old and has much more upside than Lee. This is first full season as a starter and he's responded well and shown marked improvement in his perimeter game and ballhandling. If he takes similar steps over the next few years, during the life of the contract, then his next contract will look like a bargain.

I was always one of the biggest Courtney Lee apologists.

That being said, Bradley was the obvious choice for a rebuilding club due to his upside, youth, and apparent chemistry with Rondo.

Good point....

I think Danny will let him go , I think AB maybe over pricing himself . Think DA  keepsRondo and , Pressey and Bayless for cheap and draft a couple guards with his picks the next 2 or three years till he gets what he is looking for .

That's how OKC loaded up with all those good players , they had a billion draft picks .

Why do you think that? Because he's agent asked for that?

They didn't trade Lee based on his talent it was a financial move. We could see how he greatly improved the short minutes he played. It would be nice to have some of his scoring right now though, but Danny put him in a good situation where he's getting good minutes and playing on a legit playoff team.

pretty sure Lee wanted to go on a playoff contender. I mean, isn't that why he wanted to go here in the first place (when the team still had KG and co., I mean)?

Honestly, neither players are good enough to build around, but both are solid role players. However, if AB needs to go in a big deal to net us a better player, i'm sure DA won't hesitate.

Lee never got the minutes or touches he should of while he was here. I'm not an advanced stat guy but I would love to see what C-Lee's number's were coming off the pick and roll, that was money almost every time.

Do you really just see Danny letting him walk? If that's the plan, he needs to trade him at the deadline where he certainly can get at least a first round pick out of it.

I still believe Avery is going to get 6-7 mil/yr and that may be generous. He is proving to be a capable scorer, as well as an 'elite' defender, but I don't think you can count on him as a top three player on your team. I would like to keep him, but would also be up for trading him if we got the right value in return.

I like Lee as a player... good from range, good defender.

I just don't think there was room on the current C's for him and we're better off with the financial flexibility. It's no use paying luxury tax for a team in the bottom 5 of the league and with their main player coming back from a major injury.
