I expect us to pull the minor upset in an emotional game against the Nets on Sunday.  Rondo will play his best game since returning (I know that's not saying much).

After that we've got five more consecutive games against sub .500 teams.  I can see this team regain a little pride here over this stretch.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I really don't see us beating the Nets or the Knicks.  Sixers, maybe

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my

Rondo will score 9 pts, 9 assists, and 9 rebounds on Sunday against Brooklyn.

Deron Williams will eat him alive.

Cool... Good plan.  Right in time for trade season to get cooking.  Rondo needs to play himself out of his hole he's in.  He's been pretty awful so far.

I hope so... we need to play like we want to win first. Gonna be a long couple months if we continue to play like this.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Your probably one of the guys who thought we'd win 8-12 in January.

One bright spot last night, I thought Rondo looked a little bolder and more explosion in his athletic ability.  I still don't think he all the way back but it was encouraging to see him move a little better than before.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Can't see it happening. No Avery, no Bayless.
It's Rondo, Chris Johnson and Phil Pressey as our guard rotation. Vs OKC we had Gerald Wallace starting as the shooting guard.

The opposing teams ball handlers are going to make mince meat out of our perimeter defense like Reggie Jackson and Lamb did.
Rondo can't stay in front of anyone and will be that way for a good month or two and with Avery out there is no enforcer on the perimeter.

We've got Deron Williams and Raymond Felton then Carter Williams and Jameer Nelson/Oladipo.
I'm predicting Oladipo will simply torch us when we play the Magic because Green will be covering Afflalo.

We might win one of the Philly games if Avery is back but I can't see us coming close in the other 4 of the next 5.

We are just complete trash with Jeff Green and Pressey as our three point shooters lol.
I'd say we lose 5 in a row and get lucky to win 1 of them.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Well now that we are a good draft slot this would be a terrible time to go on a winning streak. No would be a good time to keep coaching well and developing while losing to teams that we are competing with for a better draft pick.

A winning streak?

I wouldn't hold my breath .

Rondo playing awful, no Bayless,  no AB, Sully with hurt shooting hand ,    ....

More of a recipe for. Losing streak .

Matter of fact ,  this current bunch of injuries may just put us squarely in the Lottery .

God forbid that happens!

I think Stevens is more skilled than to allow it, even if the players were to perform well enough.

Winning streak? I doubt it. Maybe they'll beat the 76ers. This team has a lot of problems right now. Not sure how Sully will be with that finger issue. Throw in no Bradley/Bayless, and it's not exactly a recipe for success. February doesn't look too crazy schedule wise but March is basically play solid teams pretty much every night. It might be a long winter...
