If I am not mistaken, he is an UFA after this season. If you were Danny Ainge, would you sign him? If yes, what sort of contract would you offer?

Nah, Gortat's game has gradually been falling away.

Less interested in doing the dirty work defensively and more interested in making sure he puts points on the board. More interested in himself than his team. Goes through the motions on too many possessions. Developed a lot of bad habits in Phoenix.

It doesn't look like he is going to age well. 30 years old soon. I'd be worried about him towards the end of that next contract + about how well after the few years it takes Ainge to put another title contender together.

I think Ainge needs to go after someone younger.

Too bad. I really like Gortat, even when he was backing up Howard. The age does make a contract seem unlikely but if DA could do it for less money (i know unlikely) I'd love it.
