Like a Michael Redd-ian, career ruining couple of injuries...

Would you consider him Hall of Fame material?

That would be horrible.

If I had a vote, I think he would still be higher on my list than some other active likely hall-of-famers who have all but made their cases. Here I'm thinking of Vince Carter, Steve Nash, Chauncey Billlups.

I think Nash and Carter are definitely in, so yes I would put Durant in there too.

I don't understand why you couldn't have just asked if KD's career to date is HOF-worthy...

Because I saw basketball reference had him at a 77% likelihood to make it already, and it sparked my interest.

Because that's not interesting. What's interesting is the discussion that happens around players like Penny Hardaway and Derrick Rose (maybe). If Durant, say, blew out both his knees tomorrow, he would've already accomplished a ton more than many of the other great "what-if" players in the league.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I think he'd get in. In a world without LeBron James he's going on his 2nd MVP, maybe 3rd. He's a 3 time scoring title holder, 4 time all-NBA player. I think he'd get in.

There are worse players in the HOF right now.  His HOF probability is #14 amongst active players right now according to basketball-reference:  http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/hof_prob.html

80th best score of all players past/present.

The worst thing he ever did was resign with the team that drafted him instead of doing the off season meddling thing and be like "Weee cann play togettheerrr! Yaaaayyyy!"

I don't think so. Or if he did it should take a very long time. If it took DJ that long it would need to take him even longer.

I think he would. Eja listed his accomplishments, and they were surprising to see how good he has been even in Lebron's shadow.

But it would be terrible for him to get hurt
