RIght now, Dallas holds our 2nd rounder and Brooklyn's in 2014. We sent them both as part of the Kelly Olynyk acquisition.

Would you trade Jeff Green to Dallas for Shawn Marion (expiring) and the return of those two picks?

No.

Those two second round picks aren't very valuable. If we're trading Green for an expiring we need to get value for him.

No. Why would you trade grew for a pair of second round picks. I want see Jeff green traded, but that is a low ball offer. No way danny does that.

Remember that Dallas traded down with us and then Atlanta because they had a very tight budget for fitting a rookie deal and still having cap space to chase Dwight Howard.

They traded down 5 spots total pretty much for that reason, just taking what they could get.

Well, cap space certainly has value. Since the Celtics will be under the cap, they could use that space to sign or absorb a different player who might be better than Green.

I think that would be the main argument in favor. Perhaps Marion is also the better player for 2014

There has to be better value out there for Green than a straight salary dump and a couple of 2nd rounders.

If you're salary dumping Jeff Green you should get something better than 2 second round picks.

Also we won't have that much space. We'd have 39.2 million with just our players currently under contract. Then we'd have to consider resigning Bradley, roster cap charges, and paying our two first round picks. Our own pick could be pretty pricey since we're looking at a high lottery pick at our current record.

NO. Jeff Green can get back a lot more than that, but I am not sure the Celtics should trade him.

I would want Larkin in addition to that.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Green is worth a 1st rounder in my opinion. Even if it's not a first rounder, it not worth taking a older guy. That's not getting any assets back at all

Agreed. Second's can usually be bought every year on draft night, so I wouldn't trade away a nice player for mid-40 picks.
