I think Rondo looks like he is in 2nd gear the whole time.  I know he is coming back from a serious injury, but it is going to be a long rest-of-the-season watching him like this.  I don't know if I have ever seen him play this badly?

I hate to say it, because I am a major rondo fan, but we looked better tonight with PP.  I guess it will be a long slow process to gradually get the old Rondo back.

Really impressive hustle and effort tonight from the team thought.
It will be a slow process. I think people's expectations may be too high. He should have made both free throws, no excuse for that, but embarrassingly bad performances are to be expected. He actually hasn't had as many TOs as I thought he would.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I didn't see the game, but just looking at the box score I think it's amazing that we didn't get our doors blown off.

THIS.
He shouldn't have been in there. Close game with rival and current champs with a chance to win on their court. Guy back from year off in 3rd game shouldn't have been in there.

this game was a weird one to watch. we played like crap for the most part (aw man). were hanging around/chance to win (aw yay) lose the game in the last 3 minutes or so. aw man. rondo was a drag out there. jeff green is playing a very nice role of a 4th option as first option. can we sign gilbert arenas to a ten day contract just to be funny ? the celtics should just sarcastically win games for the rest of the year

I agree about Pressey. Loved it when he made the hard push off that turnover ending in the Humphries dunk.
Great all around second half though.

On another topic, is it me or does Lebron initiate virtually every take with the lead arm pushing off. Literally is like a stiff arm, which in my opinion gives him the edge on turning the corner and creating space on his defender. Sick of this not getting called!

I agree with this. Should have went with Pressey.

Thirded, or fourthded(?)

Aside from this, though, I think BS has done a pretty good job of managing Rondo's minutes and easing him into the rotation.

I agree..I think that's too much pressure to put on him when he's not ready.

Game was closer than final score. Very winnable. End game of Green turnover, Rondo missed FT's and LeBron living at the line killed them.

Will he play tomorrow night? Hope not. Ease him back.

Rondo's return is going just like DRose's return so far... dreadful.  Hopefully he doesn't get injured.

Or whatever.  We be tankin.
