I'm sure the Pistons are eying some kind of deal. Outside of their starting five, there's not a whole lot of talent on the roster. Still, they are in the hunt for a playoff berth, and have already dealt away their 2014 1st rounder.

Stuckey and Villanueva represent $17 million in expirings, and we've already seen that Joe Dumars and cap space should not be left alone in the same room together without chaperones.

I'd be shocked if the Pistons don't make a major move in the next month. I doubt it'll be for Rondo, though.

If it's Drummond, then sure. Or maybe an unprotected 2014 1st and Monroe.

I bet they are eyeing a trade doesn't mean the C's will reciprocate unless it's for something amazing.

I would trade Rondo for Drummond but that's it.  Maybe Monroe and their 2016 unprotected first

Another day another trade Rondo rumor that makes no sense for the Celtics.

Monroe isn't enough of a return for Rondo, because we have a similar type player in Sully. I believe Monroe's natural position is PF and hes a below the rim scoring big much like sully.

Detriot would never give up Drummond, especially not for Rondo, you don't trade high ceiling big's for injured point guards.

Also someone stated earlier they don't have their 2014 1st rounder, so theres little to see here.

It does make me wonder though, where there is THIS much smoke, is there any fire?
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

it would have to be a 3 team trade where Monroe goes somewhere else , c's get expirings and a top 5-10 pick. Other than that, I don't see anything happening with Detroit .

Yeah, agreed. Detriot has one thing we want and its the one thing they wouldn't give up.

Still so many Rondo rumors since the day he returned, can there be so many fake rumors? I feel like one of them has to have some sort of legs.

There is no reason to doubt that Dumars is interested in acquiring Rondo.  He's a bit like the Knicks with more trade assets in his desperation to do a deal, but he's not giving the Celtics anything Ainge wants.

Monroe only makes sense for a team willing to hand him a max contract.  I'd rather have Asik.

I don't even think Rondo fits their team particularly well. Without Jennings they would have next to no shooting.

sure, give us Drummond, Stuckey and Villanueva for Rondo, Bass and Anthony.

actually if Anthony made $1,900 less we could actually do that trade by splitting it into 2* trades. they could add in Siva and then it would work as 2 separate trades.

still dont think i would do it, but if you add Wallace and Datome(random player for salary) i would be willing to throw in either the BRK/ATL pick or the Clippers pick to get it done.

*cant move Anthony and another player for 2 months

I think Ainge might go for something like this

Rondo, Bass

for

Monroe, Caldwell-Pope, Jerekbo, Villanueva, 2016 1st
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner
