Ainge (The Monster stirs)

After a seemingly long period Ainge has become active in what I guess he and management see's as the direction of this Celtics team.

I'm not talking about the trades as much as him seeming to help guide/help Stevens.

Bogans was dealt with in an unusual manner that spelled out exactly what he was here for and that it could be done from home. It was public by design. Danny proved with the Stevens hiring which NOBODY saw coming that the Sterling fiasco was an embarrassment. The guy seems very aware of his legacy being on the line in Celtics lore. 1 super trick pony or genius.

Bogans gets silenced.

Pressey...I think this was Ainge in Stevens ear to the benefit of Rondo. The guy is suddenly not doing what bothered most and is a seemingly committed pass first PG which can only benefit other players and their perceived value. I don't think Pressey had an epiphany I think Ainge had one for him. It's good for Pressey the team and it's members.

Wallace. I think he got the talk like Bogans but was spared the public hang dry because Ainge told him his role in the Celtics future as well and that will be shorter if he starts looking to get the ball from Phil and Rajon. He could be filler and sent to a place warmer or closer to wherever it is he wants to be but refusing to shoot and yapping to much is just not good for him or the team but Ainge is the GM/Celtics and Wallace and him both want the same thing. Wallace gone. They may...it will be interesting to see...have come to a mutual understanding and Wallace's minutes and shots and attitude may seem to greatly improve.

I think Stevens will be great but Ainge has his fingers all over the recent team stuff. It's for the good of the franchise. I don't think R.R. goes anywhere and the naming of a Captain which Stevens said isn't important and still downplays was an Ainge move. He seems to have made a few regarding the locker room. I think Green is NOT an Ainge kinda guy at all. His D on guys like Lebron but infrequent offense are not gonna cut it. Sullinger IS an Ainge kinda guy. He was the leader while Rondo was gone and I think that was asked of him...to not hesitate. (Danny was a dirty crybaby of a player see: competitive)

So..
I think Ainge saw the ship listing and just corrected it. I think Green is a bigger problem than Wallace as Wallace is a competitor and Danny can speak his language. The ends justify the means kinda thing. Wallace may wanna help his own cause. I think he's gonna. Sully is the 1/2 of the whole that will be paired with a true center and green needs to be replaced via draft or deal.

Green..gone before or with Bass. I think KO could go as well. It seems only RR and Sully are cores.

Danny never backed down from thugs as a player .   He isn't scard of the wet nursed thugs and won't have D Wade types on his team if he can help it.

So yeah,   DA is going the Riley route , nice soft spoken coach ,   And carry a big stick to back him up .  No excuses for disrespecting the team or coach .

Part of the hoarding  of picks is most Likey a part of the plan to off load Wallace at the first chance.    Somebody might take a trade that includes Wallace if they get a suitcase full of second rounders. Late first .

I think DA is still high on KO ,  he went the extra mile to get him, and I think he is given at least another year , as Sully has been given to,mature .     He has all the skills ,  needs some muscle and confidence .   


Pressey stays too.......least for another year .....he sets a good example for his team ......and I think his father has Danny's ear ......and he is cheap too.

I hope Hump stays on a better contract


Green  might as well pack his bags .   His goose is cooked as a future Celtic.......he needs to go back to OKC and play off the  bench , a role he apparently enjoys more than we thought.

I think KO could be a part of a trade if that's what the other GM wants to give Danny what he wants. Which is different from Green,Wallace.  Danny ...the guy that everybody copied or so Lebron said when the HEAT formed and they did that by agreeing together while Danny shuffled pieces. He is a hell of a GM and most are trying to be him. Morey and Presti don't have rings yet...do they? No. It takes more than all stars to win it takes competitive ****s like Kobe called Rondo. Like K.G. like Ainge's playmate Bird. Bird....how the Pacers doing ? Mchale's Rockets doing alright too. I really think Green is the one Ainge wants gone. His body language ....man it just must be a generation gap but Danny is on the otherside of that gap. Bass plays hard and when we almost beat the Heat in 2012 Bass's D was huge. The guy had 4 steals in that game 7 and we didn't lose because of him but because of a 2pt bench. The guy will go but Green...if the guy could string some good stuff together Ainge would be thrilled to get more for him but he is like an undiagnosed Cancer to the team. If Rondo sours on him since they are opposites then it will happen sooner. I already think Danny is aiming to get Green gone ASAP.

I also think Avery is gone. He is a player and tough and fits Ainge's mold to a point but he's an asset at a time when that is important. It bothers me but he walked away from an offer and because Green is not going to get a good return it may be on Avery to get that return....he is shooting us out of games which is good and bad. If he has confidence in his shot and keeps his D up he could be the final piece teams will really want to have and cause a good deal to happen. Green is not gonna make anyone feel like that. Perk was gonna leave so we got a Green. It didn't work.

I agree ,  Greens body language is all wrong ......he doesn't have the competitive drive to carry a team.....I don't think he wants the responsibility of being a Kobe or James.....body of a leader ....not the drive to be one...... He is satisfied to stand back and take a lesser role it seems . 

If Green really played like he wanted  to carry the team,  and put up stats he is capable every night ,  DA would keep him for sure.

If Green played with Wallace's  or Kobe's mindset , we would be 15 games to the better right now.
