Do you all think Rondo coming back has hurt or helped his trade value?

From what I seen I think it has to hurt his value.   I know he has a long road back but his mobility and explosive speed look to still be on the mend.

He's been back for two games. A player's trade value isn't affected by two games.
Right what we've seen the past two games is what everyone assumed would be the case in the league. Heck they might have assumed worse about his game.

I know Rondo is just getting back to things. But its incredible how with Pressey we win vs a 500 team (Raptors) and we lose 2 against really bad teams
Phil Pressey played roughly the same amount of minutes against Orlando and Los Angeles as he did against Toronto.

26   min TOR
22   min LAL
22.5 min ORL

He's had just as much chance to impact the game in the last two losses as our last win. Offensively in all three games Boston has been pretty terrible. Only the Lakers up and down pace and small lineups inflated our ORTG.

Agreed, even his first game back you could tell he was rusty and wasn't pushing it too hard. There was one point where you could see him almost dive for a loose ball but hold back.

He's not yet at the point where he can be judged, but looking at his last two games, you can definitley see sparks that look like the old Rondo. I'm excited to see how quickly he gets back to his old self.

it's too early. he's shown flashes of what we can expect to see of him though. he'll be fine.
It's too early.  His minutes are restricted.  But that's always been a little bit of a concern... that Rondo would come back without his hall-of-fame teammates, the team would struggle to win, and he'd be exposed a bit.  I don't think Rondo is a superstar.  I think he can probably play at an all-star level with the right teammates surrounding him.  WIthout those teammates and the team dropping games to the league's bottomfeeders, his value might drop a bit.

FWIW, I think the Celtics have always been keenly aware of Rondo's limitations.  I think that's why they have always been open to trading him.

Finally remembered my Password. It's the reason I haven't posted in a while. Anyways I believe rondo will be traded either at the trade deadline or in the offseason.

really? guess we'll see.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Even the Lakers dropped most of their games when Kobe came back from his Achilles injury.
Remember that these games are more like pre-season for Rondo right now.  I don't expect to see him back to his best until March/April - or even next season after a proper training camp under his belt.
