Uncle Snooze Button

That's actually better than Uncle Sleepy. Love it. He wakes up about every 10 minutes, then hits the button again and settles off into a sound sleep.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'd trade Green for an expiring or trade exception, no prospect or pick needed. Nothing worse or more frustrating then watching an underachiever. I think his disinterested demeanor can be just as damaging to a young developing team as any other personality type. The guys seems to be sleep walking through life.

this is a team game

BEST player in last years play off games.
also the highest scorer.

Best player on the team this year so far.
also the highest scorer.

Get disappointed with ANY ONE else (except the captain during rehab).

Do you really think replacing Green with Rudy Gay, or Luol Deng, or Danny Granger could squeeze more than 14 wins out of this squad?

I love Green and hope him the best.  POINTS!

It's a make/miss league and he and Bradley just aren't consistent enough shooters to be depended on night in and night out. A combined 9-32 just isn't going to cut it, even against a horrible Lakers team.

They shouldn't be the top scoring options on this team but what are you gonna do?

I like Green, but I'd replace him with Luol Deng any day.

  • KG IS THE KING
If someone is consistently inconsistent, then...news flash...he's probably just not that good of a player.

Sure he shows flashes of greatness, but the same can be said for over 80% of the players in this league. Consistency is the name of the game, and that's what separates the greats from the average joes. In this level, more players have the physical skills to be great than not, but there's only a handful of good players. Sadly, Jeff Green is not one of them. No need to be disappointed people, he's a borderline starter at best.

He plays with little to no passion.

I want him to play with the visible passion of Brad Stevens.

He's like the JD Drew of basketball. No emotion. Overpaid. Only difference is JD Drew was actually pretty good baseball player in his prime. Jeff Green is just an average basketball player.

A single game means nothing. It is not evidence of what kind of a player someone is.

What you should mention is more long term stats. I have been a big AB booster, but he is shooting only 45% this season. His 38% from 3 is good and his career 35% from 3 is respectable, but he is 44% career from 2. Not horrible for a 2, but not elite.

Of course, none of that is a problem since AB isn't out there to be the #1 scorer. He is there because of his defense and the fact that he can contribute so much on offense (15ppg) is a big plus. He is also being paid a lot less than Green.

He plays with little to no passion.  If he played with 50 percent of the passions/physical play that Gerald Wallace does, he could potentially be a top 5 SF in the league

He stands around , rarely cuts to the basket or runs around to get free. He doesn't make his man work

Danny has to trade Green in this trade deadline or before next season. I rather draft and take my chances with Gordon, Grant, Walker, Warren , even Mcdermott (if we don't get wiggins/parker) would be better for next year.
I am not someone who gets starry eyed about college guys just because they have some success in college and we don't know yet what they will be like in the NBA. I would dump Green for a twinkie if it got us Parker, but mediocre talent? Like just the beginning of more frustration in the future.

I've been waiting for this... I just don't see how anybody could like this guy. I mean he can play sometimes, but he barely ever shows up and in a sport where there are only 5 guys on the floor and all need to work hand in hand, hustle and body language make a big difference.

Yup....... This!.........Deng works his tail off every game ,  if he can't shoot on a given night ....he is rebounding and playing like crazy to win.    Jeff just shuts down mentally from game to game .  It's not physical ......his motor just sputters .....his flame dies and he disappears from the court .

Nice teammate ,  but not starter attitude night in and night out.

How were those playoffs? Wanna be an early exit some more?

Best player? When he takes 6 shots or hits 4 outta 12 and goes to the line 3 times...or 2? He's a Cancer. He is what he is and it's not even enough to nab a decent return. Sullinger and Hump and Crawford play with more fire and that's ...a problem. You wanna blame ANY ONE but Green?   He's not even a decent asset almost 1/2 through the season. Sully, Hump and Bradley could undoubtedly stir more interest which puts us in a bad bind because maybe Avery goes partly because Green will not have enough to get what Danny thinks he needs. I bet Danny wishes Green was doing great cuz i still think he'd trade em' and he'd get something decent. As it is it's a lose lose. The dude ...I don't want Green mentoring or influencing anyone we plan to keep because he .....he is what he is and it isn't near enough.
