I don't care that Wallace isn't putting up all-star numbers.

Guess what? He has heart. The guy actually plays hard. And so what if he says something bad about the team? He has earned the right to say it. He plays hard whenever he is on the floor. He is a vet. He is in the league to win games, not lose. He has said again and again, but some people just don't get it. It's ok for LeBron or Kobe to be mad at their team when they repeatedly lose games or don't put the effort, but it's not okay for Gerald Wallace?

At least he raises this issue instead of acting like he just doesn't care, like others do.

Who else has come forward and even bothered talking about players not going hard or this team repeatedly losing (Don't give me the nonsense that others did once or twice or that everyone on the team goes hard every single day).

I am on Wallace's side and I completely support him. In fact, if there is anyone on this roster who deserves to win, it's him. It's Wallace.

I really hope that either he somehow stays helps us contend in this future or he gets traded to a great team and goes on to win a championship.

No problem agree to take less money and trade him to a contender.

He plays well for the first time in weeks and you post this? Tonight he deserves a lot of credit but lets be real he has been awful for most of this year. Can't blame him for the contract since the Nets are ridiculous but come on

I have zero problem with Wallace shooting his mouth off after losses, it's been one of the most entertaining story lines all year.

But to say he deserves to win the most because 'he has heart'? You know what Id prefer? If he had talent, or athleticism. This isn't 'Rudy'. You don't get applause if you are actively contributing to losses because you're a net negative on the court. Hell, at least Rudy got a sack when he was in, and had the decency to pay his own way through school. The Celtics are paying Gerald Wallace 14 million dollars to be a bad motivational speaker. That's the only thing that makes sense, because who in their right mind would pay the guy actual money to play basketball?

I'm not saying he should be a happy guy with all the losing. I'm not telling him to shut up or to stop. But let's not pretend the guy is some sort of competitive patron saint. If this team had 10 guys, all with Gerald Wallace's heart and talent, they'd have no free time after going 0-82 because they'd be too busy saying people weren't playing hard enough to win games. If Gerald Wallace had a clone on the team who made the vet min, he'd hate actual Gerald Wallace because while clone Gerald Wallace was giving it 110% all night real life Gerald Wallace spends post game interviews calling the team out for a lack of heart.

I've got a cousin who could use some guidance. I wonder if it costs 14 mil to have Crash come to this house and tell him he's gonna live IN A VAN, DOWN BY THE RIVER.

Well if actual Gerald Wallace did it, he'd warn them about living in a 6 bedroom remodeled Victorian in good school districts down by the river, and I bet that's not as effective.

Nice game by Gerald tonight.  It might have been his best of the season.

Keep it up.

I was listening to Shaq on TNT the other night and I agree with what he said

"There are two types of leaders - one that is vocal and one that is out there that leads by example, the real leader should do both, raise issues and lead by examples on the floor"

I think Wallace has not earned his right to be a vocal leader because he has not shown on the floor that he can be consistent. I don't care if he scored 4-6 points as long as it's consistent, and his defense better be there as well. There are many games this year where Wallace is totally insignificant

Like I would watch a game and look at the box score and be like "wait Wallace played?"

He had one good game.  One good game and we get a thread praising his so called "heart."  One Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing game

You can try hard and still be a jerk and still not play well.  I don't care what his reasons are, he isn't good and he sounds like a baby, even though you can tell in his mind he thinks somehow he sounds like the opposite.

Well of course not. But you CAN make fun of them for it. And they're not allowed to care cuz they're rich as balls and that's the way it works. Keep gettin them checks, Gerald!

i'm starting to think maybe Wallace had a problem with Crawford.

Wallace showed signs of playing better in the last game as well.

still, he could've been a pro either way.
