These guys needs to be moved, pronto.
They are basically the only reason we are in any of these games. Of course Sully was awesome but he's still awesome with 25 and 20 in a loss.

How does Danny move these guys at least laterally? Obviously we don't want to lose out on 'value' but their rebounding is killing us and effecting our draft chances severely for two guys who have zero to do with our future.

I'm assuming Danny's pushing hard to move them but what are his most likely avenues?
Bass is obviously Asik and so is Humphries to an extent. But after taking back Joel Anthony I'm wondering if Danny would take back a bit more salary for a year? (I believe Anthony is guaranteed contract or RFA at 3.8 millon right?).

How do we move these guys ? I'm hoping they've only got one month left at most and are gone by deadline but what are Danny's most likely options at the moment?

It's hard to match salary for Humphries, so I think the best bet for getting rid of him is negotiating a buyout after the trade deadline if he wants to give up money to go to a contender.

yeah they need to be moved/bought out/put on leave,

I was thinking today especially with anderson out that NO might be a bass suitor something like rives+steamer for bass

Daryl would be smart to swap asik for humphries, if the c's did that trade i believe we could use the pp exception to create an even bigger exception that would be the size of humphries salary, 12 mill and would run out later.

I like Kris. we should absolutely keep him. he's a true pro that will help this team even more with Rondo being back.

Bass struggles is also related to Rondo not being there. Keep them both.

We're still in the Playoffs hunt. no Tanking here

How about Hump and our 2014 first to Chicago for Noah?

Man, that would be tough to pass up for Chicago - thinking they could get one of those coveted top 6 picks. I know Noah probably isn't going anywhere, but a top pick in this draft is a nice start.

For Boston, if we end up more in the 10-12 range, who could we possibly pick who is as good and ready to contribute now as Noah? With Rondo coming back, I expect us to start racking up enough wins to keep us from getting one of the top prospects - I would love Noah.

I have an idea.  How about this?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kthlrqx

Ideally, I'd like to move Bass to a contender, but I'm a little stumped as to where to put him.  He's a really good guy and has been great for us.  I only wish that we could have gotten him in the 2009 offseason instead of resigning Baby.  His quickness defensively and ability to finish in traffic over size, not to mention his excellent free throw shooting, would have been a huge upgrade over Davis.  Plus, we wouldn't have had to worry about his weight, but I digress.

As for the trade, I think Jeff Green would thrive in Memphis as their tied-for-4th best player (with Courtney Lee).  Prince is getting older, and the one thing that the Grizzlies needed the most in last year's conference finals was more scoring.  Plus, he defends KD about as well as anyone and knows so much about him that just for that reason Memphis should do the deal.  It might just push them over the top, especially against OKC.  Thoughts?

Sending wallace back to Charlotte would be best for all of the parties involved imo.  He never wanted to leave there, and giving us Bismack Biyombo (who isn't really in their rotation at the moment) instead of MKG allows them to not have to completely mortgage their future to make the playoffs this year.  For us, Biyombo would at least be a nice shot blocker and offensive rebounder, whose deal is almost up.  If he doesn't work out, maybe we can package him with Prince on draft day or afterwards as both become expiring contracts.  Gordon, yes, I know he's another combo guard, but we all know how lethal he can be.  He probably won't play that much, if at all, but combine his and Humphries' salaries and it adds up to over $25m that would come off the books after this year.  It won't help us in free agency because no one will ever sign here, but at least we'll have some room.  What does everyone think?

...and I basically agree with the OP. While I hate to see the Celtics lose, I also realize that this is a bridge year and many of the faces we saw at the beginning of the year will not be here in the next year or two (see Lee, Crawford, Brooks).

If there is any game I didn't want to win, it was this one - a close game against an overachieving division rival who is bound to slide at some point.

Ugh.  How about not.  I hate Noah and would loathe him as a Celtic.  I know he's talented defensively, and he can pass, but he's a punk imo, been injured a lot recently, and has no offensive game.  Plus, you'd give up our 1st rounder this year for him!?!?  Whhhhhhhhy?  That pick is going to be for Embiid  ;).  Haha yeah right, we won't be getting even one of those players this year.  Has everyone forgotten how the league screws us every time we're in the lottery?  Sigh.

Tonights win was painful. I'm glad that Sully got his numbers, but man i wanted a loss. I agree we need to get rid of Bass and Humphries asap. I don't want these guys coming in between the tank.

I like Noah but I wouldnt want to invest in him unless we had someone like Carmelo or Durant in place. I think we need either real bargain l/value deals like Asik for Bass or we just focus on acquiring a superstar first- then add those guys next. Couldn't justify the potential in that pick for a guy that just keeps us stuck in mediocrity without a superstar for him to play for.
Noah is a superstar role player and I'd love him, just not yet.

I doubt the bobcats are going to take the wallace horrid contract so memphis can net the best player green.

plus I want no part of prince, best cutting memphis out of the deal all together i have been thinking bout green+bass for a gordon + prospect(s) (kidd/zeller/biyombo) type trade
