  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Anthony has a player option for next year.  Here's hoping he declines it because he wants to ring chase.

I doubt it. He's going to Keep Getting Dem Checks.

On a side note: If Noel gets healthy and lives to his potential, MCW gets to an another level, and they draft one of those guys from this years draft who can be difference makers, then can make the Playoffs.

Danny you sly you. You did it again!

Anyone think we just buy Anthony out? It can't cost that much.

Seeing as we turned Crawford and Brooks into a few draft picks. Maybe we boost anthony's stock so that he actually declines the option.

After rooting for the Hawks and Nets to miss the playoffs all season, it will interesting to root for the 6ers to make them.

Getting back Joel Anthony is kind of interesting.  This actually looks like Ainge just made a move to be more competitive for the remainder of this season as opposed to less.

This thread threw me in a loop but I understand that Philly pick now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but no matter what, we end up with either the 2 future 2nds or the one possible 1st? Besides winning/losing does Philly have any other way of influencing this?

Yes MCW, Noel, top 3 pick, and maybe Turner or who he's traded for will get a 7-8 seed next year. NYK and BKN might sneak in this year but next year looks even worse.

Great job Danny!
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Any chance we could see Anthony play tonight?

I think everyone owes Coach a massive round of applause.

Don't forget they also have New Orleans' top-5 protected pick.  So they'll likely have 2 lotto picks this year to help them make a 2015 playoff run.  Fingers crossed!

Not really a fan of paying Joel Anthony $3.8 MM to get what will eventually end up being a second round pick. We aren't really going to need all those seconds consider how many firsts we have.
I'm thinking stockpiles of picks go out for sign and trades of incoming players over the next couple off seasons.Send 1st & 2nd round packages(with players) out to Minnesota and Memphis for Marc Gasol and Kevin Love, adding Love and Gasol to Rondo, Bradley and this year's first round selection(Parker, Wiggens, Gordon).

Why is Miami doing this though?  Isn't Anthony and a pick more useful than Tony Douglas to them?
