Is he angling to be waived? (since he knows no one wants to trade for his contract)

I thought he would have been a good leader in terms of example.  He has always been a player that plays all out every game.
Even that has lagged as he's scared to even touch the ball on offense and so he just passes up any chance with it to focus on "hustle" plays instead of just playing his game. Which means of course he's become an awful one way player, a worse Mbah Mute.

Complete mental breakdown of his game and he's blaming it on everyone else. You don't go from a .77 FT shooter to a .34 FT shooter without losing it.

Just a veteran who wants out.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
We should buy him out before he becomes more toxic to the locker room.

i think this is just Wallace's way of letting us know he's still on the team.

Classic case of shooting the messenger taking place here.  Everything Wallace said appears correct to me.  And it's refreshing to hear someone genuinely disconcerted about losing.  I'd rather that than hear more BS about the "process."

Honestly, I was on board with his competitive attitude when he got here. Right now it sounds like he is complaining because he isn't playing enough. Well i'm not sure how going out there playing like poop and not being able to make a free through is respecting the game.

They should start fining him every time he says something like this. Maybe that would silence him. If he's really that unhappy he should ask for a buy out and then we can rid ourselves of his joke of a contract.

Well if the messenger wasn't turning the ball over in high rate, shooting absurdly low at FT's, and putting up more than a couple of points,I'd side with him some. Hustle is only going to go so far, you have to have talent too. These aren't playing without effort, they're losing to better teams and he doesn't want to face that.

I don't think he was saying anything when he was letting the guys he was suppose to cover go off for 3's. It's not refreshing anymore, it's a cop out excuse for not playing well. He's complaining about playing time and using that as part of the reason for the losing. If they were winning he'd praise Brad for preserving him during the long season (which is something he's already said earlier when they were winning).

He is pointing fingers at everyone but himself.  What has he shown this year to allow him to even do that in the lockerroom?

Hey Wallace,

I got an idea. How about you shut your fat, freaking mouth and focus on your own skills when you are on the court. Funny how the guy who turns the ball over the most in the NBA is the one constantly complaining about others' effort. Whether they go "110%" or not in your eyes doesn't matter to us, as fans, and obviously doesn't matter to the coach because they are protecting the ball the hell of a lot better than you.

Good grief, I can't stand this guy. It would be one thing if he was playing up to his contract or even half of it and was standing up and calling guys out. There is a reason he isn't playing.

The old saying of "when you point a finger there are three pointing right back at you" fits him perfectly.

Look in the mirror you scrub

“You’re sitting, only playing 17 or 18 minutes a game,” Wallace said. “You’re watching, you know you can still play, and you watch guys in front of you who don’t play with effort, don’t respect the game and don’t think team first. It kind of frustrates you and (ticks) you off. You have to deal with it.”

Yes another Gerald Wallace complaining thread, but I wonder who he's talking about here  >:( :D
And when the other guy plays this way and he's still better than you, what does this say?
"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

I'm tired of Wallace. He's no good anymore. Doesn't deserve the PT he thinks he does, and should just be happy to collect the paycheck he does.

I'd like to send him home like Bogans. Bogans never spouted junk to the media to my knowledge, so I think they let him leave out of respect, and they may try to move him somewhere that will make him happier.

Humphries sat early in the year and also didn't say anything and when his number got called he gave it his all and earned consistent minutes.

Wallace just needs to get out of here.

(and I'm still mad at him for messing up my fantasy team by KO'ing Ryan Anderson)
