No need for compromise.

Bench Wallace and give Brooks Wallace's minutes.
I completely agree with this. This team has scoring droughts because they lack shot creators, both need to be given minutes.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Bayless.

Oh you mean Jerryd...? Yeah, I'd still choose the Bayless.

Brooks sucks. He has sucked in every game I have seen him play in since coming into the league. He's got a scorer's mentality without the scorer's ability and brings nothing else to the table.

The only reasoning behind playing him last night was:

1. It was garbage time down by 20 in the 4th quarter
2. Stevens was sending a message to Green and Crawford that their play stunk and had to start improving on a consistent basis or else others were going to get playing time.
3. Danny told him to give him some run because he is about to be dealt away and the team trading for Brooks wanted to scout him to make sure he wasn't injured.

That's it. I can't figure out another reason to play Brooks the entire 4th quarter last night.

Anyway, my answer is Bayless. Its not close.

Yea Bayless got hot but he also makes our offense run better and he hasn't even practiced yet. He's getting like 4ast a game as the backup. He won't be practicing anytime soon but who knows if he will get even better once he learns his teammates (he would have had more asts last night if anyone could shoot).

Bayless and it isn't a question, to me.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Bayless, easily.  Far superior player, despite his deficiencies.

I'd put brooks lower than bogans on actual depth chart.  I'm pretty sure Brooks was getting some playing time earlier in season to see if he could show enough to actually deserve minutes or be trade bait.  He failed both those tests (so far)
so bayless easiest question i've had in a bit

brooks  ???  good release, size, rebounding for sg position but sooooo much missing from his game
we saved $ by trading him for jj rookie year

Knicks might be able to use Brooks. Could see him being dealt; but would not see him having an impact on Bayless other than they are both suspect on defense. With Lee gone Brooks is a natural scorer off the bench against larger shooting guards. Otherwise Bayless will see most minutes. Remember Bayless, Rondo and Bradley are all under 6'-4". Brooks is our only guard with size with Lee gone. I would say Crawford's minutes will see the biggest hits. Brooks will see only modest minutes unless someone is dealt.

Without Lee our perimeter defense has taken a big step backwards. Will be interesting to see how Stevens deals with that.

In a year in which the Celtics will struggle to win 33% of their games, does it make a difference how undersized the back court is? Just play the best players. When Rondo comes back the best back court players will be Rondo, Bradley, Bayless, Crawford, Bogans and then either Brooks or Pressey in that order. Except for Bogans they are all young so just play the best players and let the season go from there.

I disagree that the Knicks have any use for Brooks: they've got Shumpert (even though he'll eventually be traded), Smith, and they just drafted Hardaway.

And Brooks will probably be the worst defender against a big guard out of that bunch.

so true, at least the smaller guys give it a shot. Brooks is lazy as and looks disinterested on defence

Then he'd fit right in the Knicks rotation.

Brooks is hard to figure out. Played with Wallace all last year; yet displays none of that fire and abandon. This may not be a bad thing (the abandon part anyway). He does rebound well and is not afraid to mix it up or attack the basket. Would not be surprised if his rebounding numbers (per 36) were not similar to Wallace.

As has been suggested - sit Wallace see if he can play in 3 guard lineups.
