I vote for Marshon... because I still believe he will turn out to be the better player... Bayless has the ability to thrill the crowd once or twice a month... but his play-making is still mediocre after these years... and his overall inefficient scoring... just nope... more Marshon please

No need for compromise.

Bench Wallace and give Brooks Wallace's minutes.

Excellent thread after a 7-13 shooting night with 17 points by Bayless... and a 1-4 night from Brooks.

The real question should be if Pressey should be getting any playing time with Bayless here. And by extension, Pressey vs. Brooks for any minutes that are left dangling.

as much as it was nice to see bayless go off in the 4th qrtr. last night and a lot of the shots he was taking were somewhat out of necessity. they were still bad shots. taking jump shots early in the shot clock are bad shots.

I mean the only difference between what he did & what crawfords been doing lately is bayless actually made the bad shots.

I understand there aren't many brooks fans here. but right now I see no reason why we can't see more of him at the expense of green, Crawford, bogans, Wallace, bayless or pressey.

why not?

After last night's performance, it's got to be Bayless.

Really liked what I saw from Bayless last night. I really liked his composure on the court.

But dont expect this daily from bayless. If so he would be a top guard in the league.

He can go off like this as we have seen from him against us. But its usually in front of the home crowed. Kid loves to put on a show in front of fans and them getting excited takes his game to another level.

Its too bad he cant play like this consistently

I agree that it should be pressey vs brooks. Honestly I just dont see pressey as a long term nba player. Brooks should get some minutes leading up the the trade deadline.

Bayless is feast or famine.  But Brooks is famine or a light snack.  Only real reason to play Brooks is to showcase him.

Bayless has been consistent and aggressive...he deserves the nod more than Brooks at this point

agreed in the sense that bayliss is the better bb player this year. marshon's defense still seems to be pretty poor and on offense the ball does seem to stop when he gets it.

however, given that bayliss is perhaps not returning to the celtics since he may price himself out of reach, i would not mind brooks getting an increase in his minutes over bayliss. he might be learning to overcome/limit his major flaws...might.

bayliss is not the future for the celtics. brooks in all likelihood is not either, but at least this season could show stevens and ainge whether he is or not.

this year is about development. i hope stevens puts olly and brooksy in lots of games for lots of minutes and let them pass or fail.
