How much advance notice for Rondo's return? (Rajon Return Thread omnibus)

I personally think it would be cool if we didn't know which game was going to be Rondo's first game back until the very last moment when they have to declare who is active or inactive for the game.  I'd love it if Ainge/Stevens played games with the media to see who can be fooled into misreporting when Rondo will debut this season.

Does anyone disagree?  I'm guessing someone who wants to be there for Rondo's first game would prefer to have as much time as possible in advance to procure tickets.

I think in today's game Mike(?) said Rondo's at the stage where he could wake up one morning and feel he's ready.

"Should"? There's really no "should" in my opinion, but personally I don't care. I like the idea of him showing up unannounced though.

I agree that it would be cool, but I suspect that the higher-ups would prefer to drum up as much excitement as possible in advance.

It might end up being the high point of the season. I'm being serious - I would not be surprised if Rondo's first game back ends up being the highest-rated game of the season on TV, and maybe the toughest ticket as well.

I definitely think his return is something they'd want to play up. It may not be as extreme as Kobe's, but it's definitely something to get the fans going, but Rondo seems like the type to just pop up fully dressed to play..lol.

I disagree. Much as I'd like, I don't have the opportunity to watch every Celtics game of the season. I try to catch as many as I can, but there are times when real life obligations get in the way. Especially if it's a late January game against the Jazz or something like that.

Rondo's return to the court, though, makes a game that's probably ok to ignore much less skippable.
