Can we just admit sullinger has been hot garbage for the past 8 games?

If it's because of injury, they need to shut him down for an extended period.  He's been terrible lately.

I think sully is a good player & I know he's injured but down low as a smaller PF/C he's getting eatin up by sheer size right now.

one of the reasons i'm not that high on him. I'm just thoroughly sick of small ball.

Eaten up by Kenneth Faried and JJ Hickson? Or The Ghost of Kendrick Perkins?

seriously?

You, uh, don't think his egregious foul trouble had anything to do with his performance in the Denver game?

Or the Clips game?

I don't see it.

He's been bad, but I love that he's playing through it. It's not going to hurt him; it's going to make him stronger. That's what this season is for anyway.

His hand is hurt, but he has always had trouble with length.   He still scores some but against real height he can falter especially if that height has bulk to match.  Against skinny tall guys he does well.   Against guys his height he excels.   He is a skilled player but a mediocre athlete.

I want to see more of him with Humphries.  I think he has a developed the attention of the refs never a good thing though.   His game has to be borderline dirty because of his size and lack of athletic ability.  Now they are watching him and I am sure they saw his domestic violence this summer could he be getting a punk or thug reputation with the refs?

whenever I saw him down low on offense against any of those teams, not being a leaper or tall it wasn't any number of fouls stopping him it was the defenders standing there with their arms raised up.

Maybe he is just reverting to what he is.  Or maybe other teams are starting to gameplan for him more.  Plenty of players play great for stretches but can't sustain it.

Yes, the fact that his poor play came at the time he was struggling with a hand injury must be some wild coincidence.

Jeez, a guy sucks it up and goes out there playing through an injury and he gets his play called hot garbage.  I'd rather have that than the alternative, a guy who has to sit every time he gets a little dinged.  We'd have to petition the league for more roster spots.

It's admirable until it starts hurting the team.

But it doesn't start hurting the team when he's playing worse than usual, it hurts the team when he's playing worse than the people who would get his minutes. I'm not sure we're there yet.

That explains his big games against Minny, Det and Wash right before his hand issues.

I missed the game tonight.  Looks like he had a very solid game... 21 points, 11 rebounds  ... Maybe he read my thread.

How'd he look?  Did he still look limited?

Yeah, he played without the glove on - not even a wrap.  And it made a world of difference.  He had his 'soft touch' back and the ball was finding the bottom of the net.

Great game, if a bit frustrating to lose.  Our front court - Green, Sully, Hump & Olynyk in particular - all played extremely well and if our backcourt had not shot so poorly, we might have won.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

With Sully and Hump's showings in tonight's game I hope Stevens would start to consider starting Sully with Hump and bring Bass off the bench.
