I think the Suns were buyers before they knew Bledsoe was undergoing the knife and they REALLY are buyers NOW!!!

Maybe we can get something more back??

Thoughts??

I think Suns would do that but how many years does Okafor have left on that contract?? That may be a killer
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I don't think this deal is something the Suns would want. As we've seen, Crawford has the ability to be a productive player or a liability on any given night, depending upon the lunar cycle. IF Okafor returns, and at the same level he left, he's the best player in the deal, and Phoenix isn't about to give up a 1st when they just signed Leandro Barbosa's anyways. They've got Dragic, they'll play around with Green or Tucker or something and figure it out.

You really are expecting Barbosa to play at Crawford's level this year??  Barbosa hasn't played like Craw has this year since about 2006 and he NEVER averaged as many assists, ever.

did you really need to create 2 threads about trading with the Suns to get Okafur and a pick or picks?

The Bulls only received one heavily protected first rounder for Deng (and the option to swap firsts next year, but that's also heavily protected) and he's easily a better player than both Humphries and Crawford. Considering Crawford and Hump are in the same boat as Deng in that they very well could leave Phoenix in a few months, I don't see it happening.

Yes, considering they are two different trades.

Yes, considering they are two different trades.

They are similar trades and it might make sense to combine them into one thread so that people can debate which trade is better.

Ultimately, though, I just don't think you can expect a team like the Suns to give up a first to get a short-term Bledsoe replacement.  Turn that first into a second-round pick and I think this deal makes more sense from the Suns' perspective.

The Suns are not just getting a replacement for Bledsoe, they are getting Humphries who could start at center for them in the playoffs over a rookie Plumlee.  You want a veteran on the floor over a rookie in the playoffs.  Plus, Hump has an 18.6 Efficiency Rating compared to Plumlee's 16.00.

And the Suns have 3 first round picks.  I will be anyone they will NOT use all 3 for themselves in the upcoming draft!!

I do think this is the stronger and more likely of my two Suns' trade ideas.

No way they'd give up a first in that.

I don't see why they wouldn't.  They only have nine players under contract for next season, so they are not facing a roster crunch.

Do you like him enough that you would be willing to wait until the summer and try to sign him for next season?
