Boston gets:
Michael Kidd Gilchrist (CHA)
Ben Gordon (CHA)
Lakers 2015 1st (PHO)
Phoenix gets:
Jeff Green (BOS)
Keith Bogans (BOS)
J Crawford (BOS)
Bismack Biyambo (CHA)
Charlotte gets:
Omar Asik (HOU)
Jeremy Lin (HOU)
Houston gets:
Emeka Okafor (PHO)
Ramon Session (CHA)
Portland's 2014 1st (CHA)
Why Boston does it:
Ensures high lottery pick from losing Green and Crawford. We're not making the playoffs and Rondo shouldn't be rushed back, so let's look to the future. Gets expiring Ben Gordon deal that could be turned into Gordon Hayward. Picks up what could be a solid 1st round pick in 2015. Gets nice player in MKG that is a great teammate, great defender and will continue to improve.
Why Phoenix does it:
Gets the small forward help they need with Jeff Green at a manageable contract. Also gets a fair(better than Okafor) post player in Bismack Biyambo. Gets backup guard help in Jordan Crawford which is also an expiring deal. They're in go for it mode for the playoffs and this trade improves them.
Why Houston does this:
They get to unload both Asik and Lin and get back an expiring and a 1st rounder. Nuff said.
Why Charlotte does this:
They're also in go-for-it mode for the playoffs. They get the low post defender they've coveted in Asik, get some much needed start power in their small market (even though he's not a start) in Lin and get a nice player in Gerald Green. This trade makes them better immediately and they have draft picks to spare.
