Sacramento is apparently gunning for Andre Miller, offering two, potentially three different trade packages in return.

Quote
The Kings have offered Marcus Thornton and a future second-round pick as the framework of a deal for Miller, and have presented a package including Jimmer Fredette and a future second as an alternative, two people familiar with the scenarios said Wednesday. Those people familiar with the terms of those offers did not know the third scenario presented by Sacramento, but executives gathered here for the D-League Showcase surmised that it likely involves forward Jason Thompson.

I forgot Jimmer was still in the league.

In an effort to try and understand what the Kings are up to, I guess they may actually be trying to instill that "winning culture" that places like these blogs seem to be split on actually existing. My logic would be to stink and hopefully add an all star caliber player next to Cousins.......not these guys.....

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Marcus Thornton would be a nice return.

A guy who can make shots on his own.

I'm not sure why Denver would be interested in either Thornton or Thompson. Both are overpriced.

Fredette is an expiring contract, at the very least.

It seems like the new owner wants to win now and prefers to acquire players he has actually heard of.
