no idea if the Nugs would do this, but they'd get a productive player in return for someone who's out for the year (at least)

the contracts are almost exactly the same, so nobody is "winning" financially but the C's could have a better long term player

they'd probably want a pick in the deal, which may or may not make it worth it

I would cry in joy if this happened... Then trade Danilo for a bag of peanuts.

Who is the productive player that the Nuggets would be getting, Jeff?  ;)

I think Denver is still counting on Gallinari coming back, and if he doesn't, I think they're looking at some financial relief:

that report makes it sound like he's closer to returning than I had thought - oh well

is there anyone else injured for the year that we could trade Wallace for?  anyone?

Doubtful.

We would have to pay a price to swap Wallace with anybody not named Stoudamire.

I think that's probably right, unfortunately.  I think we're stuck with him, at least for this year.

Interesting note during the game last night, Mike Gorman said he heard Faried was available.

I am starting to think Gerald Wallace is going to be our new Theo Ratliff. We are going to need to keep him a year or two before his contract actually starts having value.

Hopefully in two years when we aren't God awful anymore, Wallace's contract could be the last chip to score us another asset.

A guy can dream.

I'm Faried's biggest fan but i'm not sure what we would realistically give up for him.

Agreed -- hard to imagine him going out unless he's included in a Rondo trade, or they send a bunch of picks with him. Can't see either happening this year.

The going rate for even a pretty good SF is really low right now. Look at the Gay and especially the Deng trades...CHI got next to nothing for Deng, and he's a really good player on an expiring deal.

Honestly I doubt we could get anything of value even for Green. Wallace seems completely unmovable IMO.

99% sure that was in reference to the Knicks/Nuggets talk earlier this season.
