It's really two deals. BOS-CHI-NYK and BOS-POR, but I think together they give the C's a really young/interesting roster.

Boston in: Stoudemire, Robinson, Leonard, Hardway Jr., Snell

Boston out: Humprhies, Bogans, Wallace, Crawford, Bass

Why: Boston puts the rebuild in full gear. They can pick up 4 young decent prospects on rookie deals while also jettisoning Wallace and only have to eat Amare's deal. They commit to developing their youth (their new coach's forte) and can make a big splash once Amare is off the books (should help land a decent lottery pick as well),

Bulls out: Boozer Snell

Bulls in: Humprhies Bogans

Why: Bulls get to shed the last year of Boozer's deal and get 17m in expiring deals in return for parting with Snell.

NYK in: Boozer, Wallace, Crawford

NYK out: Stoudemire, Hardaway Jr.

Why: The Knicks get some pieces that can help them win now. They eat the last year of Wallace's deal in exchange for getting rid of Amare and using the space to pay guys who will actually suit up. They dump Hardaway Jr, but they get Melo some help in Boozer and Crawford.

Portland out: Robinson, Leonard

Portland in: Bass

Why: Bass would fit in well with the Portland squad and give them a needed veteran presence and consistency from the bench. Robinson still hasn't carved out a role on his 3rd team and Leonard has a ways to go.

Celtics Roster:
Faverini/Olynyk/Leonard
Sullinger/Robinson/Stoudemire
Green/Snell
Bradley/Hardaway Jr./Brooks
Rondo/Bayless

Chicago values Snell more than to trade him away just so a team will take 1 more year of Boozer.  Why not just amnesty Boozer and get to retain Snell?  Same result.
2020 CelticsStrong All-2000s Draft -- Utah Jazz

Finals Starters:  Jason Kidd - Reggie Miller - PJ Tucker - Al Horford - Shaq
Bench:  Rajon Rondo - Trae Young - Marcus Smart - Jaylen Brown -  Peja Stojakovic - Jamal Mashburn - Carlos Boozer - Tristan Thompson - Mehmet Okur

I think every team involved says no to this trade except Boston, and maybe even us. We get a ton of young guys and a terrible contract for all of our unwanted players. Sounds delightful. Everyone else gets a bunch of unwanted players for their young prospects.

Bulls trade Snell for immediate cap space...to wait on Rose?

New York gives up Hardaway to take on about as much bad salary as they're sending out. Seems like a lateral move at best for them. They aren't contending adding Boozer, Wallace and Crawford. It would be silly to tie up money in them. Than again NY GMs have done crazier things.

Portland is the most unrealistic of them all. They get Bass (who does exactly what Aldridge does except way worse) for Leonard and  Robinson (two pretty good prospects). Why I cannot divine.

I'm actually having trouble finding good trades for us to make. I want expiring deals and picks but our personel assets are weak relative to the market (so many teams are selling this year). I'd trade a 1st round pick to move Wallace cleanly and I'd take expirings for Bass. Honestly  the C's are in great shape. I'd be more than happy to serve as cap relief for another team (next season). Something like trading our expirings for either overpaid player and young talent or highly paid talented players.

Ainge is doing something similar to 2007 in that he's setting up to be a willing participant in someone else's rebuild. At least that is how it seems to me.

We have absolutely nothing that Portland wants, not even Jared Sullenger to back up LaMarcus Aldridge.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
