I would also expect Miami to send the Cs a 1rd pick and pelicans to send rights to Pierre Jackson

Why

Cs they get clear an additional 4mill off the books next year. Also add a struggling but talented prospect in Rivers, the rights to a promising PG in jackson and a future late 1st. This is definitely a tank trade. (would look for a 3rd team maybe suns? to take de Colo for a 2nd rd pick and cut jones)

NO Anderson is hurt, Bass steps right in and starts for them along side Davis. They give up a struggling Rivers and seldom used Stiemsma.

Heat crawford gives them offense outside of their big 3. When Wade site crawford starts and should fit right in with miami's style.

Spurs they dont give up much value but gain a stop gap while splitter is out in Steimsma. He is an expiring deal so no long term commitment.

WHO SAYS NO?

This is a great idea, except I'm not clear on the benefit to Miami.

It was reported back in early Dec that miami might be interested in Crawford. They have struggled with Wade not playing back to backs. Crawford would fill in as a starter for Wade and be their 6th man when Wade plays. He fills a big role and only costs a late 1st and two bottom of the bench role players.

If this went down the 2014-2015 Cs

Guards: Rondo, AB (if resigned @ 8mill), Rivers

Wings: Green, Wallace

Bigs: Sully, Kelly, Vitor

Salary total 48mill plus the two rookies

Seriously doubt New Orleans has even the slightest interest in Bass.

Bass was uninspiring in his previous stint with NO, and wasn't very useful when he was in Orlando and sharing playing time with Anderson.

I'd rather work a deal that gets Crawford to the Spurs, giving them a little more firepower for the playoffs. Not a fan of seeing Miami get more help.

If Danny could pull this trade, he's Exec of the Year.

I doubt San Antonio would give up on De Colo, but he would be great to pair with Bradley as 1-2 combination. James Jones would be my buyout candidate and I wouldn't care, but Rivers and Withey could still turn into NBA players. And the Cs would still be saving more than 2M in salaries, and getting a first round pick. Sign me in!

Roster after cutting Jones:

Rondo/Bayless/De Colo/Pressey
Bradley/Rivers/Brooks
Green/Wallace/Bogans
Sully/Olynyk
Humphries/Fav/Withey

Celtics would still be able to make more trades to balance the roster/maximize value. TP for the idea.

I don't think Crawesome fits in well with Miami Divas, but it could get interesting to watch. Steez could be a Celtic Trojan in South Beach  ;D

He is a different player now. He grew alot playing with Garnett and is t the player NO had years ago. He would fit nicely next to Davis and go back to the bench when Anderson comes back.

Nah, NO is better off staying away.

I personally am a huge fan of Anderson, but interestingly enough, NO was having some of it's best success with Anderson coming off the bench himself.  This is more a byproduct of Davis being better suited to playing PF, rather than C, which means Bass would really struggle to find playing time if all three were healthy.

New Orleans' ideal rotation would be Davis playing PF next to a legit starting C, with Ryno coming in off the bench.  Bass doesn't provide that for NO, thus it's likely they have no interest.
