honestly not seeing Vonleh or Hairston as picks Danny would make or keep.  I honestly think if the BPA at the time is Vonleh, Danny trades the pick.  I originally thought Danny might keep him if this was his pick but the more I think about it, the more I see this as a draft-day deal in the making.

I'm curious as to what Vonleh could get us in a trade.

Tyler Ennis has ice in his veins. He nad Fair just willed Syracuse past Pitt. I think all three Syracuse kids will have good careers.
That was one sick shot! Fair hit a couple big shots at the end too. Great game for such a low scoring affair.

I started thinking roughly a month ago that I might consider Ennis over Smart.  Now I'm starting to see him ahead of Smart in some mock drafts.

He reminds me of Trey Burke from last year (Ennis).

If the Celtics unfortunately fall into the 7th pick or so, I guess the best of a disappointing situation would be to pick Noah Vonleh.  Not to say I don't like him.  Body-wise and some skill-wise, he reminds me of Taj Gibson who is a very good, versatile player.

At the same time, if it's possible for Ainge to drop down a bit, I wouldn't mind picking Clint Capela.  He's as athletic as Wiggins is, which is saying something since he's 6'10 plus with very long arms.  The thing I like most about him is simply his ability to finish around the rim.  The supposed "raw" athletically gifted bigs who don't pan out seem to be the ones who can't finish a freaking layup.  If Biyombo was a better finisher, he'd be a very good player.  Capela doesn't appear to have that limitation.  With his size, elite athleticism, finishing ability, rebounding and shotblocking, he has to have one of the highest ceilings in this draft.

I guess, but I feel like he could be like John Henson with the ability to put the ball on the floor, and the promise of filling out.

Edit: Sorry if the Henson comp was redundant. I didn't realize this thread was 15 pages long.

Scenerio: Jeff Green is no longer with the team. With our 1st pick , we draft a non SF player. With our 2nd 1st if these two SF are avail, which one would you choose?

TJ Warren = poor man version Paul Pierce. As crafty as they come. High iq and good defender. But like Pierce is not the quickest or athletic guys around. Likely won't be able to score the way he has in the NBA.

I been keeping my eye on JMM since his first year. The first two years he has been inconsistent and at times passive. This year , he has played more agressively and more confident in his offensive skills. Already a great defender who can guard multiple positions. A junior but still has upside.
Over the last month in ACC conference play, TJ Warren has averaged almost 26 points a game on nearly 60% FG shooting. Those are LeBron numbers, so no, he probably will not score like that in the NBA.

Warren has had 8 ACC conference games in which he has had 20 points or more. Jabari Parker has had 4 games of 20 points or more in ACC play.

TJ Warren has had 30 points or more twice in ACC play and Parker has zero games of 30 points or more in ACC play. Warren has also shot nearly 15% higher FG % than Jabari Parker in ACC play.

So given the fact that TJ Warren is a 6' 8 1/2" small forward who has been a dominate and efficient scorer at every level he has played, why would you think he will be suddenly limited in his ability to score at the NBA level?

Parker is a freshman and will likely be a fine NBA player. He has had some good games. Warren is a sophomore and he has done it pretty much every night. Parker can perhaps jump a little higher and may be a tad quicker, but Warren is simply a more gifted scorer.

Really have not seem McAdoo enough to know how he compares.

He is a gifted scorer no doubt. His dribble stop , step back jumpers look like it will hard to block. He reminds me so much of Paul Pierce (minus deadly shooting, passing skills).

But if he is guarded by lock down defenders like Leonard or George can he still score like that?

If warren is available for our 2nd 1st pick, we definitely should grab him. Would be a steal.  But likely he won't last that long. Just too much skills

I don't know what it is with Randle but for a guy who is a good, coordinated athlete, he rarely blows by anyone off the dribble.  Actually, he makes it looks extremely difficult.  My guess is that he blows his wad trying to be SO explosive with his first step that he has nothing left for his second and third step.  It leaves him just trying to grind it past guys and covering no ground.

On the positive side, I saw more "skilled" shots like jumpshots and turnaround jumpers from him against Florida than I'd ever seen.  At least he's doing what he has to do to prepare himself for the NBA.  I still don't understand why Calipari runs zero pick and rolls for him.  He should be a monster in those.

if Vonleh figured to be Horford he'd be slotted ahead of Exum.

I think Vonleh will be a solid pro but a better trade chip.  I'd be tempted to send him with Wallace and Bass to Houston for Asik, the first this year and in 2017 (unprotected -- or the 2016 pick lottery protected and then 2017 unprotected)

Horford-esque potential maybe?

McDermott should be a hot topic. Will likely end up with 40 tonight.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.
