oh wow! Grant has really improved his game since the start of the year. We are seeing some more skills from him as he is getting more touches now. Btw i love that block on Parker.

If we fall out of the top 6, Danny has to look into this kid!

I can't believe that everyone thinks Aaron Craft couldn't carve out rotation minutes on a decent team tomorrow. Watched the Iowa game, I mean..he's a gamer. He has an incredible motor and head on his shoulders. He'd land on his feet in the NBA.

Craft won't play one minute of NBA ball. He'll be in medical school, residency, and then a practicing MD through what would have been his playing years. That's my guess anyway.

I think you're right, I'm just saying, it's roundly assumed that because of his skillset (an unathletic Andre Miller) he couldn't cut it. I disagree with that.

Defensively he'll have a very tough time in the NBA. Can't grab and clutch without getting dinged for fouls and his quickness/size aren't good at all.

His offense is even worse, not a great playmaker off the dribble and he's not a great shooter. He is pretty good finisher for his size, but who knows if that'd translate to NBA length.

Looks like Gerry McNamara to me, another gamer not a pro.

Who does this guy remind you of? Definitely a darkhorse prospect. 6'7, 6'10 wingspan, athletic and skilled. The way he can finish around the basket looks elite

Grant is a beast on the defensive end.  And he has excellent athleticism and length.  Definitely a physical specimen who could be used to contain and harass opposing scoring forwards.

I certainly would like to add him to the Celtics roster if we could get him.  I think he would bring a physicality and toughness that you don't see from Jeff Green for instance.

He also has good nba bloodlines - his father Harvey grant was an nba pro player.

Gerry McNamara?  I guess if you're just limiting the comparison to them being nebulous "gamers" but otherwise, McNamara was a shooter who couldn't defend while Craft is a poor shooter who can really defend.  I think Craft's defense will translate just fine because his lateral quickness is superb and his hands are so lethal that guards have to be careful with their dribble around him, which further aids his ability to shut down penetration.  I don't think Craft is going to shut down starting point guards but he could be useful dogging backup points and gumming up second-unit offenses.

I don't think it's a stretch to see Craft playing at Prigioni's level as a backup point or sometimes starter in the right configuration who plays defense and is a valuable glue guy.

Austin had a nice game today. I keep wondering if the celts should take a risk on him with the 2nd 1st. He is up to 225 pounds from last years 220 . Once he can gets to 240 could be one of those steals you talk about later. But what if like jjj he cant get much stronger?

Intriguing prospect bc of his height, length and skill. His jump shot is kg like unblockable

You have to give the guy credit playing at this level with only one eye. Wondering if that will affect his draft status? Would like to see him stay another year. Khem Birch at UNLV is an interesting big man prospect as well, but more of a PF.

Melvin Ejim goes for 48 and 18 today while setting the Big 12 all time scoring record.  Even though he is only 6' 6" this is a guy that is NBA ready IMO.

Having watched the first half of Arizona vs Ucla last night I have a few observations

Bill Walton is a great basketball announcer.

Aaron Gordon looks to have a similar game to Al-Farouq Aminu, he isnt as big of long but more explosive. If he doesn't develop a perimeter skill set I see a similar player. For better and Worse. Though hearing walton glow about his perceived intelligence give me hope for his development.

Zach LaVine looks athletic but very physically under developed. He should really stay another year before going pro.

Kyle Anderson to skilled not to make it in the NBA. Has the skill set of a young Lebron James and the physical tools of the Miami Heat version of Antaine walker. The fact that he is so long 7'2.5" reach and has a 9' reach may save him and allow him to defend in the NBA. I would take a flyer on him mid first round.

I've been studying the mock drafts to see what we might be able to yield from our later 1st round pick.  I haven't had the chance to watch UCLA yet but Kyle Anderson is very intriguing.  He's averaging 15 pts. ppg, 8.7 reb and 6.6 assists.  Nice stat line for a small forward. CFAN38 likes him too.  Has anyone else had the chance to see Anderson play?

Well Marcus Smart pushed a fan tonight. Love the way he plays but he's becoming too much of a problem child for my tastes. Some baggage is there.

He needs to pull it together soon or end up like Shabazz and get drafted 10 spots later then expected.

His shooting percentage is horrific also . I wouldn't want the celts to draft him

According to reports the fan was way out of line. Not an excuse for Smart, but at that point in the game, I understand if it pushed him over the edge. He needs to learn how to control his emotions though.
