Why couldn't this have happened next year?!

Completely unprotected pick in the west where there are 10-12 teams all better then everyone not named Indiana or Miami in the east...

Does that mean Doc will rescind his contract since he does not like coaching through adversity?

No doubt. The Celtics never experienced any serious injuries during the time period when Doc was coaching. He certainly would have quit if that was the case.

KG in 09? Rondo last year? Unless you're being sarcastic which would make a lot of sense, just tough to tell on a forum

KG and Powe in 09, Perkins in 10, O'Neals in 11, Daniels/Stiemsma in 12, Rondo/Barbosa/Sully in 13...on and on. But I'm willing to say that he's being sarcastic.

OK I'll preface by saying CP3 is a player I love watching play.  I can even deal with his constant complaining to the refs.  His flopping sometimes really turns me off, but most of the time I find can tolerate it similar to how I did with Pierce.  That said, I think he plays almost perfectly for a point guard.  I was really pushing for a Rondo-CP3 trade back when the idea was a hot rumor.

So, on to the play.  The contact whistled on the play looked like Monta Ellis hooking/pulling his left arm.  After the whistle, CP whips his head back then fell forward.  He fell forward onto his right shoulder, which then caused the separation.

His feet didn't get tangled or tripped by anyone else's if you see the right angle.  He was moving at a pretty high speed, but could CP3 have stayed on his feet during that play?  Did CP3 just injure himself tonight by flopping?

They should fine him for that flop. Hilarious.

Lol that sure looks like it to me, he always exaggerates bumps and goes tumbling like this looking for a call

All the injuries this season are really disheartening. I don't think it has ever been this bad. Rose, Lopez, Horford out for the season, Rondo & Gallinari have yet to play, and big factors like Westbrook, Kobe, Gasol & CP3 injured for long stretches. Not what you like to see as a fan.

Clips will be okay, they have Collison backing him up.

There's a reason the Clips invested a bunch in a legitimate backup.
I'm not sure they'll be okay. When Paul was out last year, even with Bledsoe, they were 6-6. I think they've gotten more reliant on Paul this season, not less. It doesn't surprise me a career year for Griffin coincides with Paul playing some amazing basketball.

When I say "okay" I mean they won't fall out of the playoffs or anything.  They'll keep their heads above water for the meantime.

Clippers get slaughtered by the Spurs...

1 rebound in an entire quarter, as reddit notes.

There might not be a team more dependent on their superstar then the clippers. They're likely without him for almost a fifth of the season.

The clippers are one game ahead in the loss column of the 8th seed.

They're a five game losing streak from being 12th in the west. That's how competitive that conference is.

These next five weeks is where doc really shows that organization why they gave up so much to get him.

Right...they miss Bledsoe in the worst way. Last yr when CP3 was out they were able to stay afloat for awhile with Bledsoe, then they started playing like the Clippers again. This time around it's different because Collison doesn't compare to Bledsoe as a backup and they're still trying to get the returns from Dudley/Bledsoe trade. It's going to be interesting to say the least.
