I caught the radio broadcast of the Cs game today and Sean Grande and Cornbread were reporting an altercation on the bench between Green and Bass that occurred in the 2nd quarter. Apparently, the two didn't enter the game after the incident.

Did anyone see Stevens presser? Any mention of what happened?

Im pretty sure it was third quarter. Green came out with 3 or 4 minutes left and just walked slowly to the bench obviously POed at something. Eventually CLee got in between the two of them when Bass came to sit on the bench.

There was obviously something going on and Im curious to find out what. I cant believe nothing was mentioned. The only thing that was said about it was Tommy saying something along the lines of... "There are no open seats for Jeff Green to sit down, someone needs to give him a seat..."  ::)

Green was probably annoyed with Bass trying to go 1 on 1 with Milsap all game. And getting destroyed!!!

Wow…big story.

Regardless, all I know is the Celtics can't keep blowing big leads.

Maybe there's a trade coming?

My guess...

Per Abby Chin, Stevens told the starters that they've been outplayed the entire game and they have a few minutes to show him why he should keep them in. A couple of minutes later Green was replaced by Wallace. As he was walking towards the bench Stevens said something to Green, but Green appeared dismissive and walked towards the end of the bench. Later, Bass came out of the game and Green appeared to say something to him. That's where the verbal "altercation" occurred. Green remained standing until the end of the game.

Oh, and this happened in the 3Q, not the 2nd.

This isn't necessarily a team "tanking" more of a team with out a leader on the floor, and the team falling apart when things get rough.

So it's more of a mediocre team finally showing their true colors, which is what DA was probably hoping for. But didn't get because of the Atlantic's horrible conference.

Jeff needs to channel that energy into destroying the opponent , not picking a fight with Bass.......

And Stevens needs to tap into Greens energy and have him on the court when it counts .......have Pressey get the ball into Jeff Greens hand s...for the final possession or trips to win.....what was going on .....

The Coach went brain dead at the end ......totally

the thing is, if they were to actually fight, Bass would wreck Green

I actually thought sitting the starters and the last play were good things. Unfortunately he didn't go far enough and sit Crawford, who's brain dead shot selection and need to improvise on that last play lost the game. Three steps to his left and a fast pass into the corner for Lee would have given Lee a wide open look for the win.

In that case, Danny Ainge should be fired immediately.

At this point neither would be a great loss. One has heart but limited skills and the other has skills but limited heart.....I agree with Stevens on this one.
