This is more of an idea than a rumor, if you read the report closely. No substance other than speculation.

Based on the BYU connection with DA and Jimmer, I concur.  They are always linking the two.

If it were true, and I don't think it is, Marshon Brooks is done with us.

Just don't see this happening. Sounds more like someone trying to start a rumor more than someone reporting inside information.

Also, I hope it doesn't happen. Never liked Jimmer Freddette's very one dimensional game.

I don't mind taking a low-risk flyer on Jimmer (2nd rounder and salary filler). He reminds me of Redick, who people forget was considered an absolute bust for his first 5 years in the league. Jimmer has a hard time on D, but we have one of the best defensive coaches in the NBA in Ron Adams. He is a lights out shooter (which we don't have) and if the Celts can turn Crawford into what he is today, I think they could definitely turn Jimmer into a solid role player.

He reminds me of Dan Dickau.

Hasn't Danny been linked to Fredette in the rumor category for the last couple years? I feel like ever since the draft Danny has been after him, the only reason I could see something happening.

Is it that Danny wants him or that rumor mongers just assume Danny would be interested in Jimmer because he is white and from BYU, like Danny?

Who can say? I could see Danny (and commenters) wanting to take a flyer on the guy because he/they might see something talent-wise that simply wasn't used in Sac (if all it cost was a second and a useless contract), and not just because he white and from BYU.

Little risk involved there.

Would SAC really think acquiring a 2nd round draft pick is worth buying for $2.5 mil?  (The price difference between bogans and jimmer)

Bogans and a 2nd rd pick for Jimmer? Sign me up. I think he can excel under Stevens.

Only way it's worth it. tp
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Sorry, Jeff.

I was half asleep when I read the article and posted it. Should of been more thorough.

I hope this is true on some level.  Sacramento has a horrid history of developing guys.  I definitely think Jimmer has more than he has shown. He isn't perfect, but he doesn't need to be
