  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Sully's hand and no Rondo make it a rough schedule.
The trade deadline looming, long road trips with the guys on their ipads reading celticsblog and hoopshype rumors etc...it all plays with young players heads this time of year.

Chicago had lost 5 or their last 6 at home but they never really looked in doubt against us. We also lost to the Pelicans without Anderson in the 4th quarter. They started Ajincia and Aminu for god's sake.

We really do stink.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Congrats to Q_FBE for predicting a 2-15 January record. TP.

Loosing crawford was a big move that put the celtics in the hole. He was the one guy who could create a shot at any time. With him, i think the celtics win a couple more games.

On to February....

Should have TP'd the guy who predicted a 15-2 record.

Cuz tank, right? Every loss is a win and vice versa.

Even the most optimistic fans were targeting about a .500 January record at best. As a pro-tanker, i am glad to see the losses. Now things get tricky though. I would like the celtics to stay in the bottom 5 team zone, and still win enough games so that their spirit isnt broken. I want the young guys to keep playing hard and develop their games and enjoy a bunch of victories along the way. A 10-24 finish would be grand.

Two wins, Fifteen Losses. I predict all kinds of ugliness and some nitwits calling for Ainge and Brad Stevens head and the tanking trolls chattering up a storm. The schedule is brutal and the Celtics lack of talent will show up next month. Those blown leads and the lack of a go to guy is an indication of lack of talent and experience. I sincerely hope I am wrong AND that the Celtics can hang in there and make these games competitive but there is an awful lot of firepower on those WC teams I am seeing through LP and Fox Sports Arizona.

People who live in Boston or fans of the Celtics there, please take this gentleman out for a drink this weekend.
