Bulls Thu, Jan. 2 Win

Pelicans Fri, Jan. 3 Loss

@ Thunder Sun, Jan. 5 Loss

@ Nuggets Tue, Jan. 7 Loss

@ Clippers Wed, Jan. 8 Loss

@ Warriors Fri, Jan. 10 Loss

@ Trail Blazers Sat, Jan. 11 Loss

Rockets Mon, Jan. 13 Loss

Raptors Wed, Jan. 15 Win

Lakers Fri, Jan. 17 Win

@ Magic Sun, Jan. 19 Loss

@ Heat Tue, Jan. 21 Loss

@ Wizards Wed, Jan. 22 Loss

Thunder Fri, Jan. 24 Loss

Nets Sun, Jan. 26 Win

@ Knicks Tue, Jan. 28 Loss

76ers Wed, Jan. 29 Win

I picked 5 wins and 12 losses. Too many tough road games and Back to backs. I really feel like not having Rajon Rondo healthy and the previous two reasons could make it even worse.

I think there is an excellent chance we fall below the Raptors even further and possibly are overtaken by the Knicks or Nets during this stretch.

I dont think we have any intention to tank this season, we dont need to. The schedule takes care of it for us.

I mentioned this about a month ago, January is brutal.  They can realistically lose the first 8 games of the month and I wouldn't be surprised at all.  I think the Bulls and Nets will play better not so sure about the Knicks?  I think they are done.  I still think the Nets make the playoffs and win the division.  I have to believe that Williams, Johnson, KG and PP is enough to win this pathetic division....

I agree it is likely for the Nets play better. I wouldnt be at all surprised to see them finish at/near 500 for this season. I will say they need to be moving in that direction by the end of January to be believable.

Of course, we could just 'out lose' them too. It's not gonna be a pretty sight IMO, hope I am wrong and we win a few more. Those two road trips will tell the tale.

5 and 12 is realistic, I could see 7 wins in there but just as easily I can see only 3 wins, so 5 sounds on point.  :)

I'd go with 8-9. I think they can play OKC tough both times though

Give me a glass of whatever c18 is drinking.  ;)

6 and 11 is my prediction for the month.

TP - this was my take as well.

Honestly, this could also be like the 18 game losing streak from 06-07 that knocked our franchise down a few pegs (before acquiring KG and Allen)...no Pierce is like no Rondo and this schedule just got 'real'.

I'd like to see them beat the struggling Lakers in the post-PP/KG era, who are without Kobe.

Really can't see that happening.

We've been playing decent without Rondo.

Didnt the losing 18 game losing streak start the game pierce got injured?  And then 6 games later Tony Allen after playing surprisingly welland leading our team in scoring?

I just checked out the schedule for Toronto, NY, and BK in January.  I could see Toronto falling back a little bit with NY and BK aging some ground.  This could make for a very interesting second half of the season.  We could be within a few games of either having the division lead, or being in the lottery at that point too.  Then we get Rondo back.

You are right, it is a tough schedule for all four teams. I just dont see all four staying at the level they are playing at currently. I feel like NY will have a few players back healthy and the Nets will be playing together better by then. both of them just have too much talent and Toronto is already playing better than we are.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I'm thinking about 6 wins.
That stretch with Denver and Portland is going to be brutal.
Rondo won't be back. Road trips are where injuries happen too.

As someone who desperately wants a lottery pick I'm hoping we find a new home for Bass and Lee very soon.
