Russell Westbrook underwent scope surgery on his knee today to address recent swelling. He's expected back post All-Star break. More coming.

That's a big blow for OKC.

27 games between now and the all-star break.

I wonder what exactly the procedure was and how this affects his future. This is now 3 knee surgeries in a short time, not good for his career.

Sad news!!! Do you think they'd be interested in Jordan Crawford? I'll take PJ III and what ever throw ins

They have some nice young guards in Jackson and Lamb, they will be ok until Westbrook returns.

I'm beginning to wonder if Westbrook and Rose are going to have to end up playing differently.

I wonder whether they _can_ play differently.

Looks like Westbrook joined the fray of Kobe, Rose, and Rondo.

Who cares about OKC? This is a big blow for my fantasy team.  :(

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Good point. From a personal standpoint, I don't think they can consciously play with less abandon, it's just how they operate. From a team standpoint, it'd be detrimental to the aspirations of Chicago and OKC if Westbrook and Rose can't play like....Westbrook and Rose.

I also find it strange how D. Wade, who was a pretty comparable player when he was younger, didn't seem to need as many knee surgeries earlier in his career.

It's not just playing with abandon, it's being able to be effective if they aren't as explosive.

Which they probably won't be.
