Poor Hollins, Brad wouldn't treat you like that.
I'd be surprised if Brad gets off the bench on that one.
I saw that.  You have to wonder why Doc even had the lamebrain Hollins in there at such a critical point in the game.

Clippers get worked by Cleveland at home, and Rivers is doing his usual smooching with the press after the game. This guy is full of excuses, and the NBA press just laps it up like a puppy lapping a serving of milk.

So I am watching the Clippers GSW game last night and it was pointed out over and over again that the Clippers were not rebounding. I must have looked like a genius when I told them that Doc teams do not rebound because he does not believe you need to rebound.

I also correctly called the Chris Paul ISO at the end of the game. Problem is Chris has not perfected the ISO like PP yet.

The Clippers will find out soon enough what they have in Doc Rivers.
it seems they have a coach that has taken them to the 5th best record in the nba so far. i think they know that already.

next, doc preached against offensive rebounds, urging players to instead get back on defense. doc did not advocate NO rebounds. it is an important difference.

and i still dont know why there is so much distain for doc by some posters. the celtics did win their latest championship with him as coach.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Mostly because he was a terrible coach who signed a 5 year contract knowing full well what was going to happen, then changed his mind and wanted to leave for less money and played the Woah is me card.

He was a phony.

And now with great great players in LA he hasn't done anything for them that any other coach couldn't do.

In terms of who I rank in terms of importance to that championship he won I would probably go

Ainge
KG
PP
Ray
Rondo
Perk
Powe
Tony Allen
Thibs
Doc
Clifford Ray
Eddie House

when you rank don't forget to rank .... Bynum for getting injured.
Radmonovich for being a total scrub
Fortuity for forcing adjustments that Rivers would NEVER
                                                        have made.
Phil Jacskon for taking off the series.

I know this is simplistic but I really don't think bad coaches win championships in the NBA. That's not to say that every coach that's won a ring is great or that every good coach has won one but bad coaches just don't make it that far, even with great players.

Whatever hate anyone's got for Doc Rivers, I don't think it's fair to say he's a bad coach. No way.

Yep, agree.  Plus the Clippers are much better with Doc than they were with Del Negro.

And also the fact that Lakers played scrub Denver, Utah, and weak Spurs. But Lakers no excuse because Boston had to play two 7-game series and also had to win the east on the road in another series.

To be fair, the Clippers won 56 games in Del Negro's last season and have won 57 and 56 games under Doc (they're on pace for about 53 games this season). Doc hasn't gotten the team any farther in the playofs (second round) than Del Negro did (second round in 2012). So they might be better with Doc but they're not "much better."

All of you haters can whinge and complain all you want, but Doc Rivers has the Clippers at 0.646 as one of the top 6 teams in the NBA with their top scorer (and arguably best player) out of the lineup.

I'd like to see how well the Cavs, Warriors, Spurs and Raptors would do if they went for an extended period of time without Lebron, Curry, Leonard and Lowry.  I suspect they would do nowhere near as well as the Clippers have done without Griffin...and aside from Paul who else do they have on their roster?  DeAndre Jordan is great at what he does but extremely limited at everything else.  Reddick is a good shooter but not much else.  Paul Pierce and Crawford are over the hill.  Lance Stephenson and Josh Smith - not much to say there.

Without Blake that team is basically Chris Paul, Deandre Jordan and parts.

People have irrational hatred towards Doc - I don't get it.  If you don't like him as a person then that's your prerogative.  He is a good coach whether you like it or not, and whining about him like a toddler that just lost it's chocolate bar isn't going to change that.

He was here, he coached some very challenging personalities (Perk, Rondo, KG) to a championship in 2008, and he continued to keep the team extremely competitive through the years that followed despite having to manage more injuries than almost any other team in the league.

The team was good when he was here, now he's gone and the team is good again.  Let it go.

Look , I think we can all agree that the true test of Doc's prowess will be measured by  RJ Hunter's career.

Blake is the Clippers best player? I wonder what Chris Paul thinks about that,

As far as the roster, do you have any idea who constructed that roster? Yeah Rivers did.

A good coach would have won multiple chips with the Big Three. plus Rondo.
