Would that make us a contender in the East? If so why explain why, and who would you rather have? Joakim Noah who reminds me a lot of how KG plays with intensity and hustle. Or Gasol, a towering great skilled defensive big men with great passing and help defense skills?

Nope, We still need a legit number 1 scoring option. Green is clearly a 2 or 3 option, and I don't think Avery Bradley, as much as he's improved offensively, he can't be your number 1 scorer.

If were getting Gasol as our center, then imo were an elite scoring wing away from being legit contenders

Gasol certainly gets us a heck of a lot closer to contention. A defensive big man who can also make his move and score on the block. With a lineup of Rondo/Bradley/Green/Sully/Gasol we are, like many have said, an elite 2 guard away from contention.

Um, aren't we leaving out an important detail?  Like who we giving up to get these guys?  And please don't say bass and lee.  Likely, we need to give up sullinger at least for either guy.  Does that matter to anyone?

Joakim Noah - no.  I think that Noah is a role player.

Marc Gasol - yes.  He's dominant as a defensive anchor and also has very good offensive skills, probably top 5 in the league for his position.  I would personally try to run an offense through him, but there are a lot of very good offensive players in the NBA that can be found (even on the celtics currently) that you can run an efficient offensive through and with.
