His passes and rebounds will stay the same in the NBA. He plays best as a point guard. He doesn't have the elite athleticism to be an elite NBA player. Even Pierce is more athletic than him, not to mention Pierce has broader shoulders. The points he scores will go down.
He's best as a facilitator rather than a go-to guy. He won't be beating people off the dribble in the NBA. His height and wingspan will allow him to be a good passing forward like Turkogulu in his prime. It will also allow him to get in some nice steals.
But the kid is a starter at best. He won't be elite. He's like Evan Turner in college where Turner would just get his shots off and had just enough athleticism to be dominant at that level. Once he got to the NBA things were very different.
Evan Turner is averaging 19.3/6.5/4.0 this year, I think I would take that.
