Bass vs Humphries

If we can only keep one, which one would you keep?

I'm starting to really like Humphries not only as a backup pf/C, but for the long run.  And if i had to choose one, i'm leaning towards humphries

I do like bass , and he has some unique features, like a strong body, nice length, able to play a little offense and decent defense (give Lebron out of all people eveyrthing he can handle,) but he also has shortcomings. We saw tonight and some other nights when he is off, he is really off. There is no passing the ball(poor passes naturally) , getting beat on defense by size + skills (Love) or sheer size (Peko)

Humphries has better size to handle either of these guys , is an underrated passer/jump shooter, underrated lateral quickness and higher iq. His next contract won't be for 12 million a year and likely 6-7 yr for 3 years. (similiar to what bass is getting)

Pretty sure Boston would love to trade Bass.  I'm sure it will happen as soon as they can convince some sucker team that Bass is a legitimate starting forward in the league.

Dunno if they're going to actively try and dump Bass, though.

Currently, Bass is playing fantastic defense, rebounding's gone way up. He's expanded on his limited game. Still limited, but much improved. And he's still pretty young.

If Bass is traded, I should hope Ainge gets a lot of return.

According to draftexpress, Humphries has a better per, eff/40 and ws/40 than bass, meaning Humphries is the better player according to the numbers. The only reason I can think that bass would be playing more is because they are trying to showcase bass and improve his trade value. Humphries is a 12 million dollar expiring contract - you can't improve that value.

Easily, Humphries is the player I keep. When you look at his numbers per 40 pace adjusted, he is a way better rebounder than bass, scores about the same, assists are pretty much identical, his true shooting percentage is better... But then they have different games. If you can get Humphries on a good deal you keep him.

I like Bass don't get me wrong, he's having a good year, but I'm hoping Thursday he's traded for Asik truthfully. Helps us in the long run.

Bass is a pretty good 7th-8th bench guy for a title team, and compared to what we traded for him I couldn't be happier in that regard but I'd be happy to move on.

His hands are really bad and that has bugged me since his first game here and he doesn't rebound especially well, also his BBIQ is average at best. I'd be happy to trade him for Asik.

Bass, he's a much better defender and more flexible. Both are backups though so its not a burning question.

I started a thread on this last week.  It was a very short thread because only a few responded with "NO".

I really like Humphries and think we should try to get him on a reasonable contract.  He is better than any big we have besides Sully right now.  He appears to be an intelligent player and makes all the right plays.  He'd be a nice veteran presence to have that can also play his butt off and be productive.

I have no idea where you see this in his game. Humphries is consistently a dumb player, bad reads and bad rotations. Has been pretty much his entire career, he's a good rebounder and garbage man and that's his limit.
