Personally, believe if the celtics are going after him, Rondo will be dealt.

Austin rivers can't ball. He should have gone in the late second round. Phil pressey is as productive as Austin rivers. Rivers is not a future all star, borderline all star, or even starter. He's a second string player at best. He had the worst rookie season of all rookies ever... Not just of his draft class... Ever. He would do well in the d league though, or maybe in Europe. There's just no way he should be in the nba.

Because Rivers makes too much relative to Brooks.  Swapping them would put the Celtics in the luxury tax.

At this point he's worth a 2nd round pick.  I would give that up for him.  Again I'm not sure that anyone's noticed but every rotation player save for Wallace is exceeding expectations right now.  Seems to me that has a lot to do with a coach who seems to have a knack for getting the most out of his players.  I'd roll the dice on Rivers so long as he doesn't cost much and see what Stevens can do with a guy who not long ago was considered a potential all star.

Personally, believe if the celtics are going after him, Rondo will be dealt.

I don't.  I think AB's not taking the contract extension will seal his fate as trade bait.   I could us shipping AB for him with us getting a pick.

rivers looks like a bit of a bust.  I could see Bradley for Rivers...  Boston probably wants to avoid paying Bradley. Rivers is young enough that he could still have a career.

Well I mean at first glance it's a ridiculous trade.  Clearly Bradley is vastly superior to Rivers right now.  Rivers first 76 games have been nothing short of catastrophic. 

But Rivers was thought to be one of the best players in his draft class.  At one point he was pegged as a "future star".  He was a top 10 pick.  He's been dreadful...

  People should consider this, and the fact that Bradley was a top rated prospect as well, when they're talking about how the 2014 draft class is can't miss because the talent evaluators are so accurate.

Chauncey Billups was a top-3 pick who didn't live up to that billing until his fifth season in the league, playing for his fourth team. He eventually became a Finals MVP.

They weren't willing to trade Bradley for Rivers when his potential seemed high during that draft day, why would they trade him for an obvious bust now? And Rivers is absolutely not worth a first round pick. Late round or future. Absolutely not.
