jeff green and courtney lee for luol deng and a 1st (i wouldnt actually do this one since luol deng has played a lot of minutes for someone his age.

jordan crawford and the atlanta/nets pick for c.j. mccollum (i know - unlikely)

i was going to include milwaukee and utah but i dont think they are that incompetent to accept trades for role players since they are at the very bottom of the league.

I'm not sure who we would try to acquire, most likely picks and cap space as the OP said. But I would have to imagine moving Wallace is a top priority.

Maybe Crawford + Wallace + the Clips pick for an expiring contract? Preferably someone that is washed up and makes us worse this year.

Moving Bass for an expiring washed up player would help too.

Play the young guys a ton of minutes and get a good pick.

1. It better not be that protected or they need to add Biyombo
2. Do it in a second
3. As part of a deal where Deng goes somewhere else for prospects
4. I think this is a good deal for both teams except doesn't Dallas have a deep point guard rotation?
5. I like McCollum a lot but our pick would need to be protected.

With the first deal I'm not taking on Amare without sending out Wallace.

Moving Wallace and getting Shumpert would be huge for us. It would put some AB insurance in place (rumored to want 8M/yr) and it would cut a year off our contract problems. It might even lose us more games.

Rondo/Wallace for Bledsoe/Okafor

With unprotected PHX 1st and WAS 1st included. I'm not sure how reasonable it is but we're giving them a franchise player. That doesn't happen often.

Rondo/Lee for Rose

If Chicago wants to contend this season this would be a way to do it. Also Thibodeau already has history with Rondo. He might be more game for moving on from Rose if it's to Rondo.

Bass, Crawford, Lee all available to anybody willing to give up a 1st rounder or even just an okay young player on a cheap deal and maybe a 2nd rounder.

Bradley and Green available if anybody is willing to consider trading a higher quality young guy (e.g. Monroe).

I think there will be deals to be made, and no good reason not to make them.

I'm not sure if I see any realistic trades out there for veterans such as Bass, Lee, or Humphries that involve the Celtics getting back a first-round pick or a young player who isn't considered to be a draft bust.
