The Heat don't have trade assets to make a deal like this.

For Jordan Crawford? I'd happily take Oden and two seconds.

Pretty sure Pat Riley and Danny Ainge aren't exactly best friends...He said DA needs to shut the **** up. I don't see why Danny would help him out by dealing Crawford.

Danny Ainge would deal with the devil himself if he thought he was getting the better end of it.

Au contraire. What's Crawford's future on the Celtics with Rondo returning? I'd rather kick the tires on Oden, and acquire two more draft picks for future deals.

Sell Crawford while there's a buyer.

Possibly a good sixth man?  Why would he not be valuable (especially since Avery can't play PG and we could use a guard with size who can shoot and score off the bench with a Rondo-Avery backcourt).  We would have a good back up PG for the first time in forever and one that could play SG as well.  That's a great asset.

Oden has done absolutely jack.  2nd rounders are almost always totally worthless.  That's a terrible return on a quality player.  Truly terrible.

Crawford is too good to give away for a "tire kick" and useless picks.  That's crazy talk.

I don't understand the willingness of some C's fans to jettison one of the better auxiliary professional scorers we've had in years. I don't know how Crawford will respond when he's pushed to the bench when #9 returns. But, I also didn't expect him to perform so well in Rondo's absence. Who says he won't take on the 6th man role with gusto? So many people around the team talk about how Crawford has matured this season; I think he's rounding into form.

I, for one, don't want to sell Crawford for a guy who hasn't played a minute of professional basketball in three years, and a bunch of low draft picks.

Probably because if Crawford continues to perform so well, he'll demand a contract next year that the Celtics won't be willing to pay.

Get something for him when you can, because he either won't be affordable, or won't be worth bringing back.

I sort of think that anything we can get for Crawford is found money. We traded Collins and an injured Barbosa for him and if we can turn that into free 2nd round picks...or a look at Oden...or some ice cream...that would be fine with me.

Full disclosure I'm on the tankapalooza bus so Crawford's bout with success is really cramping my plans :) Getting an asset and making our team worse works fine for me.

So trade away an asset that you readily admit is performing well for an NBA body that hasn't played in three years?

Got it.

Yeah, I would definitely take Ogden for Crawford.

I just hope Danny can work a trade where Gerald Wallace is part of the package.  Anything to unload his contract.

Has Oden played at all this year? How do you kick the tires on a player who never gets into a game? Crawford's a somewhat useful player on a good contract, I'd try and get better than a non-player with him.

I would want Miami's unprotected 1st round pick in 2017.

I'd take Cole, Oden and a first for Steez.

Lets just get the garbage output of American Airlines arena and their left over hot dogs instead.  Hey it's something in return right!
