Nice player, but overpaid

There are players who put up similar production, and have similar impact on the court, for a fraction of the cost.

Lee has averaged a double-double over the course of his career, and 18 pts / 10 rebs per 36 mins for the past 2 seasons. He's paid $14 million this season -- I challenge you to find other players who put up similar production for a "fraction" of the cost.

This may be just me, but I don't want to trade the Clippers pick until like midway through next year.  You never know they could have some injuries like the Nets are having this year, and that pick could be a good one.  Plus in the deep western conference anything is possible.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I just want to bring this up again because of how David Lee is playing.

The guy is a Star. He's legit. I don't think we can call him overpaid anymore the way he's producing. Last year, Stephen Curry got snubbed from the All Star and people went "why!?". I think we can say the same with David Lee if he gets snubbed this year. The man is just an offensive machine and a force on the boards, who's all effort. Say what you want about his defense (which actually improved a bit), David Lee is a star, a star I want playing for us.

I would be willing to give up ANYONE but Rondo and our 2014 picks to land David Lee. I think that last three years of his contract will help us to be a contender, with Rondo and him as the main pieces.
