Knicks don't want to burn first-rounder for Kyle Lowry and naturally prefer to keep Hardaway Jr. + save Shumpert (for another deal).

Knicks' pursuit of Kyle Lowry being held up by Knicks' refusal to give up 1st round pick, sources say

Chris broussard

If they prefer to keep Hardaway and Shumpert, AND their pick, then what the heck do they expect to give to Toronto? The Knicks are funny.

LOL

Their strategy with Lowry and with Rondo before seems to be "give us your best player because Melo likes him and we have Melo"

I know 4 team trades are tough ad rare but here it is...

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lu2nzz4

Knicks get Lowry

Raptors get Ridnour and Shumpert

Bucks get Deng and Felton

Bulls get Butler, Knight, and Middleton

why

knicks upgrade the PG position, they need to shake something up

Raptors add a talent in shumpert for a player who becomes expendible in lowry.

Bucks go into win now mode. Deng and felton add to vets to starting lineup. This costs them knight but he hasn't exactly taken the league by storm replace him with a struggling yet talented teague.

Bulls they save about 5 mill taking them down to 2 over tax line this year. They add a young guard in knight to fill in for Rose, who has potential to play with rose down the road. They also maintain depth by adding butler.

who says NO?

You think Deng and Felton are good enough to turn the worst team in the East into a "win-now" one?  I beg to differ.

It's better than nothing if they want to contend this year at all costs. Bit of extra flexibility at the end of the season to resign Melo too.

By "this," do you mean giving up Felton and MWP for Lowry? Because yeah, that's a home run for the Knicks.

Seems like a really nice fit with Melo

Oh yes, Lowry is a big upgrade over Felton.

Giving up yet another pick, Shumpert, Hardaway in some configuration is the issue of course.

If this trade goes down, who do the raptors start at PG, Vasquez or Felton?

With the east so weak they should be a playoff team. Cs fans wouldn't be satisfied with this as an end goal but the bucks might. Felton, mayo, deng, illyasova and sanders is a solid starting g lineup

I don't think the Knicks can possibly afford to give up any more 1st round picks though, they have already severely mortgaged their future, giving up another 1st rounder for marginal improvement would kill them

Pretty much everyone looks good in a Nuggets jersey.

I can't imagine Wiggins would look much different.
