Yes you heard it here first, That is a bold prediction. OK is it me or is Brad Stevens quite possibly one of the top 5-10 coaches in the league right now.  The job that he has done with this celtics team has been nothing short of Miraculous and to be honest i'm not quite sure Doc Rivers could Do the Job that Mr. Stevens is Doing.  In all actuality Danny did everything he could to create a tank season Trade Pierce and Garnett check, Trade Doc Rivers Check bring in old gerald wallace and bum humphries who basically fought Rondo Check.  Then Danny Does the unthinkable (it was a great decision btw) He Hires a coach who can actually outcoach Doc rivers and turn Jordan Crawford into a point guard and have five guys average double figures and also get these young guys to buy into his system.  WOW can you imagine if he got to coach wiggins randle or parker.  But Alas it will never happen because brad Stevens might quite possibly win coach of the year.

1. Frank Vogel
2. Terry Stotts
3. Jeff Hornacek
4. Brian Shaw
5. Steve Clifford
6. Brad Stevens
7. Mike D'Antoni

That's where I think Stevens ranks right now in the CotY conversation.

A good record combined with exceeding expectations is the criteria for Coach of the Year, typically.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

So....not only are we not tanking, Stevens is going to win us the Championship this year?  He really is a superman coach!  Sarcasm aside, I like Coach Stevens and would like nothing less than a successful season and COY, but calling it only 22 games into the season is a bit premature for my taste.

"Coach Sevens" is Brad's nickname when he plays at the craps tables.

I agree with this mostly.

I would swap Stevens and Shaw though.

Shaw came into a team that clearly has talent and its not like they are setting the world on fire at 13-8.

I also think Terry has a chance to upset Vogal if Portland wins 55+.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Yeah, I might put Stotts ahead of Vogel, actually.  It's a toss-up between those two.  I don't think anybody else is seriously challenging them right now.

B-Rad Sevens is now the official name for Stevens' suave but streetwise alter ego.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Brad Sevens is a bum. Brad Fourteens is TWICE the coach that guy is.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.
