Bass was extremely effective last game with his back to the basket moves. Melo, Amare and World Peace were all his victims. He's just so strong and muscled everyone out in the low post. Stevens definitely should continue to utilize this strength.

We'd posted up Bass quite a bit last year, just didn't work all that well. Still doesn't work that well against good post defenders or even just prototypical sized PFs.

Melo/Amar'e/MWP aren't guys with the length, athleticism, or size to counter Bass's agility.

Relevant comment on Celticslife in the Denver win.

Quote
Brandon Bass seems to have finally realized he has the biggest a** north of Orlando, (heyoooo Big Baby!!!) and thus, that there's no PF he can't back into the paint.

Jared Sullinger takes exception to that comment.
Yeah strange when there is a PF on the C's team which makes that comment clearly false. Of course there are many others in the eastern conference as well.

Didn't know there was such a thing.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Did you see the hook shot he made in the game vs. the Knicks? I wasn't even aware he could do anything but dunk, make layups, or shoot that 15-footer.

Does everyone on this team have a hook shot now? That's been the strangest new thing about this season.
