Biggest Cs Departure Yet to Come IMO

Watching the game last night I realized one of the biggest Cs departures has yet to come (in my opinion). It's not a player, coach, or even someone in the front office.

Yes it was difficult to see PP and KG go, although we could see it coming from a mile away and DA did a great job getting picks in return. DA even managed to get a first round pick for a coach who we wouldn't want to be paying anyways with our current roster. This helped ease the pain of their departures.

On to my point, I will no doubt shed a tear the day Mike Gorman stops calling Celtics games. Besides PP, Mike & Tommy have always been there from the moment I started watching the Celtics. While people are split on Tommy, his hometown bias wears on me and I am open to someone new.

Over the years, Mike Gorman has become one of my favorite play-by-play commentators in all of sports. So many great Celtics memories/plays have stayed with me over the years thanks to Mikes two favorite lines,
"GOT ITTT" and "KNOCKS IT DOWNN".

But cheer up my fellow Gorman fans, knowing DA we will probably get a pick or unload Wallace's contract when we trade Gorman to the Nets a year before he calls it quits.

  I'm a big Tommy fan. I was hopeful they were going to replace him with Scal, no such luck.

Couldn't agree with you more on Gorman I grew up hearing him call games on TV.
I Don't however, agree with you on Tommy.
Yes he is biased but you have to remember why should he play it straight when he is broadcasting Celtic games for N.E. and bleeds green?
That's why I think him and Gorman make such a good team.
I love the fact that Tommy has been involved with the Celtics since the 60's and has earned every right.
He is a piece of the Celtics tradition and history and I will also shed a tear when he retires.

I agree.  I really think Gorman is probably the best play by play guy in the NBA.

I really hope they have Grande replace him when he's done.  That's as good as you can do.

I agree--Gorman may be my favorite play-by-play man in any sport as well.

I'll miss Max on the radio if he replaces Tommy, but Max and Gorman are a good pair.

1000% agree with everything you say.
TOmmy has earned the right and has reasons for his homerism, but it still really annoys me a lot. Mike Gorman is just always calm and collected and that's what makes those special playoff moments so special when he ERUPTS!
